Row 3: After you did the 7" (*5.5-6), K2,P2,K2 (K2,P2) You place these stitches on holder or just leave on needle. Cast off 2 sts. K2,P2,k2,. (K2,P2) Continue the pattern on these 6 sts (*4)till piece measures 4" (*3"). Place on holder or just leave on needle. Break yarn leaving a 6" tail (you use this to tack down the twist) Pick up 6 (*4)sts from holder and continue in rib (K2 P2) (as the other side). After you done have the 6 (*4) sts.on a separate needle so you can cross them over each other. Heres why I like the dp. Cross the 6 sts (*4)across the other 6 (*4)sts. Work the 1st 6 (*4)sts in pattern then cast on 2 sts and work the next 6(*4) sts in pattern. Total of 14(*10) sts. Continue in pattern till same as other side 7-7.5" (*5.5_6). Cast off and sew cast on end to cast off To use a thinner yarn cast on in sets of 4. 18, 22, 26, etc. and work same. Your going to have even # of sts on each side when you cast off the 2 sts in the middle. (8,10,12 etc.) ©2011 by Susan Menashe Please don't sell pattern, for private use only! Thanks!
