Twilight Quilters’ Guild of Norfolk County Newsletter Meeting: March 9, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE: At the back of our house, on the south side, right beside the rose trellis nestled against the brick and half covered with withered brown leaves, tulips have bravely sent up all their leaves. I think the weather is tricking them, but the buds have not been revealed yet. I know those tulips are coloured like a peace rose crossed with a fuchsia. I should look for a batik fabric that colour. I hope everyone has been stitching away the grey days and getting outside to enjoy the sunny ones. I have been working on some UFO’s and the Rainbow Scrap challenge as well as customer Quilts. The VP sew days were enjoyed by all who attended. Thank you, Jill Jackson, for plan- ning this wonderful event. The food was great! Walking around the room seeing what people are working on is always very inspir- ing. The last handout in the Double Delight sew along will be revealed, this month. I would love to see everyone’s work to date. Keep working on those little Paper pieced houses for exchange. See you at the meeting! Terry Anderson President 2019-2021 PROGRAM – Melanie Douglas, Karen Johnstone, Vicki Harris, Maggie McEntee GUEST SPEAKER Guild member Terry Sonnenberg will share her personal observations on working with colour and texture. In additions to samples of her own projects, she will show slides of beautiful crea- tions from the 2019 Birmingham Quilt Festival to dazzle and inspire you. “HOUSE BLOCK” EXCHANGE The “House Block” exchange continues. Members can join in anytime until June.
