He would be very honoured to make a personal house visit to your home. This could be a simple visit with you and could include a formal home blessing. PARISH CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

Plans are well underway for St. Patrick's Parish Christmas Bazaar, taking place on Saturday, November 9th, from 9 am to 3 pm in our parish hall.

This year, to involve as many parishioners as possible in making this the best bazaar yet, we are asking for the participation of our volunteer groups/ministry groups and our schools. For ease of participating, 'theme boxes' have been set up in the

ministry room and the leader of each group has been assigned a theme for which we ask for their generous donation of an item related to the theme, to go in that basket.

We also ask our parishioners for your participation, you may drop off your donations in the ministry room as well. The Catholic Women's League who take charge of this event each year, will then sort & assemble these items into gift baskets to be used in the Silent Auction table. Latest drop off of donations is Sunday, October 27th.

In advance, many thanks to the various parish groups for your participation, as these groups have already been notified.

CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE With just a few weeks remaining before the Christmas Bazaar, which is held on Saturday, November 9th in our parish hall, many plans are being put into place and finalized.

Remember to stop by the ministry room and check out the 'theme boxes', they have created a lot of fun excitement and much interest! For more information, see the write-up elsewhere in the bulletin. With the usual support & generosity of the parish we are hoping for the best bazaar yet.

You may also bring your items for the garage sale, which will be stored in the church garage. Give us a call first to make sure we can meet you at a specified arranged time. (905-639-4240)

Many of us will be 'setting up' in the hall the week prior to the bazaar, Monday, November 4th to Friday, November 8th from 10 am to 3 pm, to get ready for the 'big day' on the 9th! If you can -- stop by for a few hours on any or all of these days since much help will be needed. In advance, many thanks.

SUPPORTING YOUR PARISH Just like with each of our households, the costs to operate your Parish goes up each year, whether it be the costs of electricity and utilities, maintenance and repairs, sanctuary supplies, salaries, food, office supplies, etc. Therefore, we respectfully ask Parishioners who are able, to consider making even a small increase to your Sunday offering each year. That will help your Parish immensely to meet its annual fixed costs. Whatever amount you can afford is deeply appreciated by your Parish.

PRE-AUTHORIZED GIVING If you would like to increase your Pre-Authorized Direct Debit Donation, simply contact the parish office or fill out the Pre-Auth Debit form located on the table in the foyer. As long as all account info remain the same, just fill-in the increase amount and drop it in the collection. Thank you Are you looking for a convenient, secure and easier way to make your Sunday donation to your Parish? Pre-Authorized Giving offers many benefits. It is: convenient, secure and confidential. A method of direct withdrawal from your bank account eliminates the need to: have cash on hand each Sunday, write cheques each Sunday, remember to bring the Sunday offering envelope to church each week, means of generating a tax receipt which lowers your income tax. For more information, or to get started on the benefits of Pre-Authorized Giving, please call the parish office. There are Pre-Authorized Debit forms located on the table in the foyer and return it to the office or drop it in offering basket on Sunday.

PLANNED GIFTS Planned giving can mean outright gifts that require tax planning on your part. Or, it can mean that you donate the asset today to receive income and tax benefits, while the actual receiving of the asset by the Parish is deferred for a period of time, often your lifetime (and that of a surviving beneficiary, if you wish). You receive a money-saving income tax deduction for a portion of the current value of your contribution to the Parish. You will also avoid the tax on long-term capital gains on gifts of appreciated property. There are many different vehicles for you to consider when making a planned gift to the parish. Wills/Bequests, Life Insurance Policies, Securities

(shares/stocks), Property/Cash, Charitable Loan.

A planned gift offers tax benefits and is usually made when it will most likely benefit your estate plan. This enables you to make a financial contribution without putting a strain on your personal finances. Please call parish office and speak with Bonnie Maloney, Admin. Asst. Thank you for your consideration of these convenient ways to support your parish.

We thank everyone for their continued generosity and support of St. Patrick Parish!
