Tutorial Requesting a Textbook in an Alternative Format 1

After you sign into your Rebel Access Portal using your UNLV ACE account, click “Alternative Formats” on the left side of the page.

If you have yet to do so, chose your Alternative Formats Preference using the drop-down box next to “Update Preference”.

Click “Update Alternative Formats Preference”.

Your page will reload and “System Update is Successful” will be shown at the top of the page.

To request an alternative format for a book, select the class that requires the book from the

drop down next to “Select Class”.

Fill out your books information including the title, ISBN number, Publisher, Author, and

Edition. Once you’ve double checked the accuracy of what you have entered, click “Submit Request”.

Your page will reload and “System Update is Successful” will be shown at the top of the page.

RAP will also generate a “List of Books Currently Being Processed” where you can check the status of your course books. If you’d like to check up on your books, you can sign into your RAP anytime and click “Alternative Formats” on the left side of the page.
