Skill development training programme on “Troubleshooting Power supplies and

Trainer kits” has been organized for Final year students on 24-7-2018. To conduct this

programme, resource person Sri. Jayarama A. from Sri Siddartha College, Tumkur was

invited. He explained theoretical aspects in the beginning. Then, Practical demo was given

and he also explained step by step procedure to be followed in finding the faults.

Another session was arranged for troubleshooting trainer kits. Resource person Sri.

Haridas S from Government First Grade College, Tumkur gave demo using kits available in

the Lab.

After the demo, power supplies under repair were selected for hands on training and

supplied to the students. They were asked to find the fault. Students used DMM, CRO and

other instruments available in the laboratory to search for the faulty area and components

in the power supply. Then, Students have replaced faulty components. They repaired 14

power supplies in the training programme.

The same training programme was arranged for second year students on 30-07-

2018.
