Conflict is a struggle between opposing forces or characters. This
tends to be the main problem in the story and there can be more
than one!
Why is CONFLICT important?

Quinn was on a trip to an amusement park with his best friend’s
family. He was having a great day until the family headed toward
the tallest rollercoaster in the park. Quinn hated roller coasters.
Ever since the time he went on one and got sick afterwards, he
swore he would never do it again. However, he could see the
excitement in his friend’s eyes and didn’t want to disappoint him.

Collin was one of fifty people at Jake’s birthday party. That night,
Jordan saw Collin leaving with a DSi sticking out of his back
pocket. That same night, someone stole Jake’s DSi out of his
bedroom. Jordan began spreading rumors about Collin being the
thief.
