Welcome the Light!!

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;

those who lived in a land of deep darkness—on them light has shined. (Isaiah 9:2)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him,

and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life,

and the life was the light of all people. The light shines in the darkness,

and the darkness did not overcome it. (John 1:1-5)

We hope your plans include coming to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus with your church family on

Christmas Eve! This is a beautiful time of music and scripture, encouragement, communion and fellowship.

BASKET BALL

NEEDS

Y OU !

We are looking for passionate people to help FCC Kid’s Basketball in the following

areas: Referees, Game-day Ambassadors, Coaches, Set Up, and Clean Up.

FCC’s Kid’s Basketball League is designed for girls and boys, 4 years old through

2nd grade. Registration will be mid-January, practices begin January 20th with games

beginning on February 1st. Every team will play 6 games, weather permitting.

to celebrate their work for God’s

kingdom at Smoked to the Bone on

Monday, November 4th.

FCC will be ringing the bell for the Salem Ministeri-

al Alliance on Saturday, December 21st.

All proceeds from the bell ringing campaign go to

the Salem Ministerial Alliance Community Fund.

MISSION TRIP 2020

Interested in a short term (approximately one week)

mission trip? Plans need to be made soon and appli-

cations submitted before 2019 year end.

If you are interested, please attend a meeting on

Sunday, December 8th at 9:00a.m. in our conference

room, which is located across from the restrooms in

the CLC.

The purpose of this meeting will be to select a date

and the preferred mission to serve. Questions may be

left with the church office or contact Ed Dolbeare.

SHARE CHRISTMAS 2019

Our service activity this year is a family caroling

adventure, singing and shining the light of Christ

to our friends.

We will travel to care facilities and to others who

cannot worship with us on Sunday mornings.

The more the “merry-er”! Hot drinks, treats, and

fellowship to follow!

Age: For the Whole Family (Intergenerational)

Grandparents Raising Grandkids (GRG)

Recent census and survey data has revealed that the

number of grandparents raising grandchildren

is significant and growing in our community.

According to the Midland Agency on Aging, there

is a void in supporting these grandparents. We, at

FCC, recognizing this need in our community,

want to provide support and encouragement to

these caregivers with a new ministry.

Our team is currently in the process of identifying

these caregivers with goal of developing relation-

ships, listening to their needs, and developing

support activities and connections to help them.

Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Join our GRG ministry team.

2. Let us know of any grandparents raising

grandchildren in our community.

Our first event will be a dinner held in their honor

on Saturday, January 18th.
