Class: Although no raise in scores show, classes are at or above expected level

Local: AR Scores: Overall Tucker Creek doesn’t

have 100% participation

2.What does the data not tell us? Class: Whether or not the

students are improving objectives on weaknesses from prior test.

Class: FF-Need to focus on student error report and conference with them.

6th grade EOG object items do not correlate to 7th grade object items

Class: Working on a semester basis

Students did a good job on literal & concrete questions

5.What needs for school improvement might arise from this data? Work on more abstract thinking skills. Need to correlate EOQ testing objectives. If exploratory had list of students not taking test could encourage them. Hold more accountable.

6.What are some things you will do differently? (Be specific how are you going to re teach some of the areas of weakness, etc.)

Class: Research ways to supplement current materials to teach Abstract thinking skills.

Local: Last year focus on program and get this year focus on student interventions.

AR Scores: Mandating student AR testing on books. Also having classes create interesting book list that encompasses all interests.

7.How can Exploratory teachers help me next 9 weeks with integration of some key areas of weakness? Always think of ways through incidental learning. Include inference & drawing conclusions to their curriculum compare and contrast.

8.What are best practices that you feel ensured success this 9 weeks? Having time to go over materials without feeling rushed. Prior knowledge from last year’s trial and error.

Math Goal Team reporting out results

1.What does the 9 weeks data (Class, Local Assessment, & AR/AM) tell me? Be specific for your classes. Answer for each of the following data points.

Class: Success rate, Who is at risk PEP, Students not completing/turning in work, Students not studying, No effort into homework

Local: Subgroups, Only 1 or 2 objective, Objective # and how performed, Question they got right/not, Who has mastered 1st quarter.

AM Scores: High participation % correct law, Interventions/Objectives having problems, Objectives mastered, Student pace, Test accuracy.

2.What does the data not tell us? Class: Grades due to lack of

motivation/instruction, Disability, Difficulty of work, correlation w/EOG, 1st EOG a review of previous quarter years work.

Local: Time spent solving problems or guessed, Only one question for objectives does not tell mastery, Mood of child, Children tired of being tested.

AM Scores: Calculator use, how much help they are getting, Thought process/how solving problems.

3.What else do you need to know to improve your classroom results?

Class: How to motivate the unmotivated, Students understand the importance of math, Learning styles.

Local: Who is actually going through problem solving process, What skills are tested most know ahead of time. %

AM Scores: Attach a grade to AM, Can use test average final, 20% or less of final nine week grade, Auto print test

Class: Engrade, More A’s, HR & PL

Local: 7th Inclusion did Great! 8th 504 did Great

AM Scores: 100% participation, Those take seriously are retaining.

Class: Weekly essentials word problem at beginning of class, Combine skills/revisited, Connections among skills.

Local: More emphasis on multi-step problem

AM Scores: Set goals, Monitor practice better.

7. How can Exploratory teachers help me next 9 weeks with integration of some key areas of weakness? Integrate fractions, decimals, and percents.

8.What are best practices that you feel ensured success this 9 weeks? Followed pacing guide, Students working in teams, incorporate vocabulary, Warm up problem to reinforce skills, Math XL, Set aside time for AM, Engrade.

Science reporting out results 1.What does 9 weeks data (Class, Local Assessment, & AR/AM) tell me? Be specific

for your classes. Answer for each of the following data points. Class: 19% of Mr. Glass’ students scored below an 80 % for class grade (15/80) 7 of the 15 scored below the school average on the EOQ. weaknesses are. Local: Doesn’t tell us if the student

was having a bad day or just didn’t try.

AR Scores: Doesn’t tell us if the students are progressing.

Class: Local: Need to know that answers in

the key are correct. 2 of the questions on the EOQ key

were incorrect. AR Scores: Nothing

4.What good news is here to celebrate?

Class: 81% in Mr. Glass’ class scored 80% or better.

Local: 62% of Eagles scored above the school average

AR Scores: 71% of Mr. Glass’ homeroom scored above 80%

More collaboration between grade levels and remediation

6.What are some things you will do differently? (Be specific how are you going to re teach some of the areas of weakness, etc.)

Class & Local: Review areas of weakness with review book.

AR Scores: Post more results on wall.

Art-Could do a project that tie into science.

Keyboarding-Learn to make and read graphs on the computer.

Provide a positive learning environment.

Drop Out reporting out results1.What does this 9 weeks data compared to

last year’s tell your Goal Team? Ms Franks trained the teachers on PEP’s. We had

no PEP’s 1st Qtr last year. This year we have lists, most from progress reports for teams but no PEP’s. 95% lists.

Last year we were developing the mentor/mentee program in the first Qtr. This year we are up and running and have 41 Mentees.

Last year the attendance intervention was done manually and individually.

This year it is fully automated through the NC Wise program

2.What else do you need to know to improve on your action plans for next 9 weeks?

More time, more data. Data from ongoing attendance program

Be Positive / Good attendance Attendance Intervention program is

fully operational, Letter are generated weekly.

Engrade has helped with communication and reduced number of failures on athletic teams

4.What needs for school improvement might arise from this data?

Another counselor, more time to work on programs, less time meeting on data, Need a laptop and LCD projector for conference room.

Bullying needs to continue to be addressed.

Continue to expand and improve on programs that directly benefit the needs

Do PEP’s. Complete and turn in with fidelity.
