The European Research Council (ERC) supports the highest quality research in Europe through competitive funding. The ERC CoGprogramme aims to support young researchers in achieving independence. The grants are specifically designed to support the consolidation of independent research teams.
Profile: Researchers with 7 – 12 years of research experience since completion of their PhD and a unique and outstanding research profile
Funding: € 2 million
Project duration: up to 5 years
2014: 2528 CoG proposals submitted

WRITE (13h00 – 14h30)
• Key writing skills• How to be persuasive and authentic• Optimal presentation according to the
8 Cs (conform, complete, consistent, concise, concrete, convincing, coherent and creative)

• Centralisation of impact• Inclusion of societal and market needs• Project budget
14h45 – 15h45: talks of an ERC laureate and ERC reviewer
