Planning  1st  photo  shoot    Lightning-‐  I  plan  to  take  my  photos  in  a  ar9ficial  lightning,  because  I’m  planning  to  take  my  photos  in  a  studio.        Props-‐  Preferably  will  use  some  props.      Models-‐I’  am  very  certain  on  geJng  models.    Studio  /  loca9ons-‐  As  I  already  men9oned  I  will  take  my  Photos  in  a  professional  studio  in  order  to  capture  a  lot  of  new  effects  I’ve  never  used  before.    Date-‐I’m  planning`  to  do  the  photo-‐shoot  during  the  Easter  holidays.      Equipment  e.g.  tripod-‐  I  will  use  a  tripod,  a  background,  and  make  up.    Health  and  safety  considera9ons-‐I  don’t  think  I’m  gone  have  much  danger  as  I  'am  using  a  studio

1ST    SET  OF  PHOTOS

2ND  SET  OF  PHOTOS

Covered

•  My  inten9ons  when  taking  this  photo  was  to  capture,  a  woman  who  hides  in  their  own  world,  a  person  who  doesn't  have  the  courage  to  reveal  her  real  self.

•  I  was  par9cularly  inspired  by  Daisy  Lowe  photograph,  taken  by  a  very  famous  photographer,  all  over  the  world,  named  Rankin.  This  is  because  I  think  he  had  the  same  concept,  as  I  do  with  the  my  photograph,  which  gave  me  an  idea.

•  The  composi9on  of  this  photograph  is  very  strong  in  my  opinion,  because  it’s  perfectly  balanced,  it’s  right  in  the  center,  therefore  it’s  eye  catching,  the  is  nega9ve  space  on  right,  and  leY  edges,  in  order  to  make  the  center  stand  out  more.  The  is  a  very  strong  use  of  colour,  it  uses  light  pink  colour  to  represent  skin,  which  is  quite  pale  to  fill  out  the  nega9ve  space.  That’s  effec9ve  because  it  has  a  strong  contrast  with  the  rest  of  the  colours,    like  dark  brown,  for  hair,  and  dark  red  for  lips.  If  I  were  to  reshoot  this  photograph,  then  to  be  completely  honest  I  wouldn’t  change  a  thing  because  I  am  perfectly  happy  with  this  outcome,  it  is  exactly  how  I  dreamed  it  to  be.

•  The  edi9ng  of  this  photograph  was  quite  basic,  I  used  all  the  primary  tools  to  edit  this  photograph.  To  be  exact  I  played  around  with  the  brightness,  also  the  levels,  used  the  curve  effect,  and  the  colour  balance,    at  the  end  I’ve  posturized  the  photo.

•  I  am  also  happy  with  the  edi9ng  part,  and  with  out  it  the  photo  wouldn’t  be  as  good,  so  Photoshop  did  help  me  create  this  concept  and  effect  I  was  trying  to  capture  in  this  photograph.

•  In  terms  of  the  lightning,  when  taking  this  photo,  I  used  flash  light,  also  I  had  `  bit  natural  light  coming  trough  the  right  side  of  the  photo,  and  I  thought  that  was  a  nice  mixture  of  light,  and  I’m  happy  with  the  outcome.

•  In  conclusion  I  am  happy  with  all  the  work  and  techniques  used  to  produce  this  photo,  I’ve  learned  a  lot  of  new  ways  of  taking  a  photograph,  also  learned  about  the  edi9ng  and  how  much  impact  it  has  on  the  photo  as  it  can  change  the  whole  concept  of  the  photo.

Experimental  Photograph

This  photograph  was  a  development  from  my  previous  photo,  it  was  an  mixed  media  experiment,  linking  to  Rankin's  work.  I[‘ve  chosen  it  because  I  think  that  it  illustrates  the  meaning  of  it  in  a  perfect  way,  which  I  think  Rankin  was  trying  to  do  as  well  as  me.    I’ve  used  masking  tape  over  the  picture  several  9mes,  over  and  over  again.    I  also  love  the  strong  colour  breaking  trough  the  gaps,  which  makes  it  stand  out,  and  it  grabs  the  viewer  in.  I  leY  the  gaps  on  the  main  parts    of  the  face    in  order  to  give  it  a  bit  of  mastery,  and  a  riddle,  which  I  think    might  challenge  the  people  a  li_le.  In  conclusion  I  am  absolutely  happy  with  the  experiment  I  think  this  par9cular  photo  was  a  great  choice  for  this  experiment,  and  I  am  willing  to  try  it  out  in  future.
