The Norwoods Are a High Quality TeamI live in Chicago and recently visited St. Simons Island to view real estate. I came to the island with very little direction of what andwhere to buy. Smartest Decision We Couldve MadeMy fianc© and I have rented on Saint Simons Island for years, and recently bought our first home. Both of us are tremendously uninformed about real estate, and therefore had no idea where to begin. I began to ask friends and

colleagues who they would recommend, and based on their feedback, we approached the Norwoods, and without a doubt, it was the smartest decision we couldve made. To say that they went above and beyond would be an understatement. My fianc©, Walker, accuses me of being too spontaneous, and he had said many times that we were not going to jump into buying a house. I had seen a house that I really liked, and he begrudgingly agreed to

see it. Certainly receiving a call from someone who knows virtually nothing about real estate is going to require much patience and legwork, but when combined with a woman whose seriousness as a buyer depends greatly on convincing her better half, most wouldve written us off as a waste of time. Not the Norwoods. Guerry arranged for us to see the house immediately. As we met him outside ready to be inundated with the standard realtor routine, he stopped outside the door and told us that we didnt need him to follow us around and give us the sales pitch; rather, he encouraged us to take our time and get a feel for it on our own, all the while waiting patiently on the front porch to answer our many questions. We made an offer that night and two days later we were in a contract. I spoke to Guerry and Nancy no less than ten times over the next two days, due only to our nervousness and excitement, and their warmth and graciousness never wavered. Their knowledge was astounding, and they explained everything perfectly, even considering things that were far beyond their realm of responsibility. We set a closing date quickly, the standard 30 days, but when the sellers travel plans eliminated the possibility of that, we realized that unless we waited 60 days, we would need to close in one week. As ignorant as we were, even we knew that wed have better luck building a house in one week, but so it was set. The Norwoods checked with me five or six times a day to make sure that I had everything we needed, to answer any questions and most of all, to make sure that we were alright. Our closing date finally arrived, and amazingly, went flawlessly. The Norwoods did what everyone else said was impossible, and they made what shouldve been the most stressful event in our lives even more joyful. Their happiness for us was sobig, so genuine. Nancy is as lovely a woman as one hopesto meet. She is warm, patient, has a fantastic sense of humor, and her knowledge still astounds us. Guerry has a phenomenal ability to make things happen, even when the odds are stacked against you, and his intrinsic capacity to calm is priceless. Together, they

are the best team that anyone could have. Working with them seems now an oxymoron, as no time spent with the Norwoods seems like work. They did far more than hold our hands; they stood ahead of us and went to bat; they stayed behind to make sure we kept going, and they walked alongside us the whole way.
