System Data Collection InstructionsFor clients running any version of TRU64 on Alpha, please use following process to collect system data:Client should log in as root and run following:
- TRU64>man sys_check [if you get a help screen, no need to download file at end, go to next step]- TRU64>sys_check -escalate, make note of where the files will be placed and take default answers.- See screen output below:
This script will gather information about your system by copying certain files and executing system commands. It typically uses at least 20 MB of disk space.Files will be temporarily stored under /var/tmp. Error checking will not be done in order to ensure that there is sufficient space to hold all of the information. If you know that there is insufficient space, please specify an alternate directory now. To accept the default directory, enter <RETURN>.
