CREATING REDS AND MORE WITH NATURAL DYE Workshop Dates: December 24 – 28, 2015

Instructed by Dr. Yamazaki of Kusaki-Kobo Dye Studio, Japan. Spend 5 days to explore the color red with various natural dyes including safflower, madder and lac. Foray into purples using indigo and gromwell/purple root may be offered. December 23rd or earlier: Arrive into Shanghai – Arrange your accommodation for any night before. Flying into Pudong Airport (PVG) is recommended. For your extra stay, we recommend the Central Hotel Shanghai in downtown Shanghai. December 23rd, 20:30: Transport from Central Hotel Shanghai to Jin Ze Arts Centre provided. Arrive at Jin Ze Arts Centre in late PM on night before the workshop. Add-On Day Trips OPTIONAL Day Trip A on December 29th: One day tour to Hangzhou or fabric market in Shanghai. Must be reserved online with non-refundable $35 USD deposit. Balance to be paid in USD cash in Shanghai. Accommodations on 29th not included, please arrange on your own. Arrive by 8:00 AM at Jin Ze Arts Centre for departure at 8:30 AM. Transportation to and from Jin Ze Arts Centre A pick up from Central Hotel, Shanghai will be arranged at 20:30, a night prior to the workshop on December 23rd. Departure transport back to Shanghai from Jin Ze is arranged on your own. For your extended stay in downtown Shanghai, we recommend the Central Hotel Shanghai.
