Colour rendering index CRITridonic LED modules offer a high colour rendering index of CRI 80 or CRI 90 and are available with different qualities of light. Our unique full-spectrum technology combines perfect colour recognition with a colour rendering index in which every individual CRI value is greater than 90. The SLE ART LED module for example achieves a colour rendering index of up to CRI 98, ensuring that objects appear in their best light.

ReliabilityAll Tridonic modules are subject to strict quality tests which go well beyond the requirements of the relevant standards and regulations. Among other things, LM 80 test reports are provi-ded for the LED modules. In addition, Tridonic runs long-term tests on its products so that incredibly long lifecycles of L90 and F10 can be guaranteed. This means a life-time of 50,000 hours with only a 10 percent reduction in luminous flux and a failure rate of only 10 percent.

Tunable WhiteWith Tunable White you can dynamically adapt the light of the t LEDs in the white light range and set any colour temperature between 2,700 K and 6,500 K. t LEDs guarantee high colour rendering of up to CRI 90 with no colour shifts. Colour regulation can be controlled and dimmed with standard lighting management systems such as DALI.

Perfect quality of light for yearsThe technology used in the t products enables LEDs to offer optimum white light quality and colour location consis-tency in special light colours or colour temperatures which are reproducible year upon year. In this way they achieve the smallest colour and luminous flux tolerances. Colour devia-tions in repeat orders are a thing of the past.

Zero binning and MacAdam 2 SCDM Our LED module production process has been continually improved in past years and still requires no binning (grouping into fine gradations of colour tolerance clas-ses). As a result of this, we are able to manufacture white LEDs with normal distribu-tion in the MacAdam ellipse 2 range and along the Planckian curve. Observers are no longer able to perceive disturbing colour differences.

We automatically measure each module as a part of our LED end control process to ensure that all despatched products lie within stipulated specifications. This in turn guarantees us perfect reproducibility for white LEDs.

Brilliant dimming and reliable energy savingsDimmable luminaires are the most responsible way to reduce costs. They always provide the optimum amount of light, appropriate to the presence or absence of people and the amount of available daylight. Energy savings of up to 80 percent can be made.

Constant Lumen Output (CLO)An LED loses brightness over the course of its life. CLO compensates for this loss and therefore provides a constant luminous flux. This is also an intelligent way of saving energy. Over dimensioning is no longer necessary – right from the start there is precisely the amount of light available that is actually needed.

Dimming without flickering or colour shiftsDepending on the application, dimming is a very good way to save energy and also create individual lighting moods. Dimming is not always the same – as the converter has a major effect on the quality of the dimmed light. Unstable colours and flickering light are the most common problems. For the best possible quality of light from 1 to 100 percent Tridonic uses a combination of pulse width modulation and analogue dimming. At all dimming levels above 35 percent amplitude dimming ensures flicker-free operation at optimum efficiency. At low dimming levels pulse width modulation guarantees high colour stability.

Intelligent Temperature Guard and ManagementIntelligent Temperature Guard provides effective protection against thermal overloads by slowly reducing the output if a defined ASIC temperature is exceeded. The reduction takes place in small stages every two minutes and is repeated suc-cessively every 10 minutes as soon as the temperature falls again. If the desired result cannot be achieved in this way the luminaire is switched off. An external temperature sensor is also used for precise monitoring of the LED module.

The corridorFUNCTION as the intelligent optionThe principle of the corridorFUnCTIOn is simple. Light is only produced when it is needed. This function combines high le-vels of convenience with safety and energy efficiency. With its predefined profiles it is an appropriate solution in all areas. In addition to the default „never off“ profile additional profiles can be programmed via DALI.

In the universal system, the LED modu-les that are also used for general lighting are switched by means of the emergen-cy lighting control gear in case of an emergency.

This solution offers maximum flexibility: it is compatible with all LED modules and all LED gear components by Tridonic and other manufacturers.

The EM powerLED 4-channel LED emergency lighting control unit is the ideal solution for a cost-optimised struc-ture of the emergency lighting installati-on. It integrates the LED control unit for mains operation (four channels) and the emergency lighting function (one chan-nel) in one assembly.

SMART Controlling light intelligently The digital SMART interface is a compact in-built solution for smart luminaires. It provides maximum convenience and out-standing energy efficiency without the need for any additional control unit. The basic light setting for the individually cont-rolled luminaires is made directly on the sensor.

Switch sensors that automatically switch lighting depending on the presence of users and ambient light offer greater effi-ciency and more convenience. These sensors really come into their own when used in combination with the Tridonic corridor FUnCTIOn.

comfortDIM Convenient lightSimple, uncomplicated and flexible; these are the attributes needed to ensure maximum convenience on every floor of a building, and they are also the characteristics exemplified by comfortDIM. This DALI-based lighting management system concentrates on straightforward design, easy installation and flexible configuring.

basicDIM Light for every moodAn intelligent system solution like basicDIM features lighting control that takes into account the presence of users and am-bient light. Besides being suitable for master/slave luminaires, this efficient system wins out in particular thanks to software-free installation. Complex spatial solutions can be implemen-ted quickly and straightforwardly.

The three most important criteria that modern lighting ma-nagement systems have to meet are visual comfort, suitability to the tasks being performed and energy efficiency – compact DIM supports all these.
