Types of Leaves/Tipos de Hojas

Deciduous: leaves are shed usually annually (in the fall).De hoja caduca: las hojas se caen generalmente anualmente (en el otoño).

Evergreen: leaves are persistent, stay on longer than one year.De hoja perenne: las hojas son persistentes, permanecen por más de un año.

Stems/TallosBuds/Brotes

Apical: terminal or end bud/Apical: brote terminal o final

Lateral: occur along the stem/Lateral: ocurre a lo largo del tallo

• Adventitious: cells under the bark that develop into a bud. (Usually due to loss of a bud)/104/5000
