INTRODUCING ART TO FACILITATE CHANGEART was the vehicle for CTL to achieve its role in the transforming learning agenda, it is about: improving the quality of Curtin Courses with Faculty colleagues, it is about making the learning experience more engaging and personalised and it is about making learning at Curtin truly international, interactive and immersive.

CURTIN CONVERGED

The new Curtin model for Teaching and Learning is Curtin Converged, a mix of traditional lectures, flipped-classes, technology enriched environments and distributed learning techniques (Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) and high-end video and 3-D technologies) that actively engage students whether they attend classes on campus or from another location.

DIGITAL LEARNING@CURTIN

The Digital Learning@Curtin strategy is based on the eight transformational pillars - Products, Partners, Processes, Pricing, People, Presence, Places and Platforms.

CURTINx MOOCS

Curtin is committed to improving the digital learning experience for all students through creating high quality interactive MOOCs on highly desired topics.

Curtin believes in ensuring that education is accessible to all. We offer Massive Open Online Courses (also known as MOOCs) that allow anyone to complete short courses on a variety of topics online for free.

LOOKING FORWARD

The purpose of this strategy is to re-imagine the provision of digitally delivered learning focussing on transformed processes, innovative recognised credentialing and the adaptive business models needed to implement change. The scenarios highlight the need for a digitally mature organisation with staff equipped with the necessary skills to lead, create and facilitate digital learning in all modes. THE SHIFT TO DIGITAL LEARNINGThe availability of digitally delivered courses anywhere and anytime also requires the provision of student and staff support services that meet online learners expectations of flexible and timely access to those additional services that are a feature of University life and are central to academic success.
