Quest Similarities

• The NitroPro Mini is built off our Quest platform. – Positive: proven reliability with sealed refrigeration system. Enhanced

product delivery.

– Potential Negative: Some consumers may perceive the NPM as a juice

dispenser, not a coffee dispenser. Keep this potential negative perception in

mind when promoting the product.

The unit will deliver quality product better than any other concentrated

(post-mix) coffee dispenser on the market.

• Quest: fixed flowrate of concentrate with variable adjustments for water

to target brix or ratio via ceramic flow controls (flathead screwdriver

adjustment.)

• NPM: fixed flowrate and pressure of water (29psi at 1oz/sec) with

precisely metered concentrate based on target ratio via variable speed

peristaltic pump.

Version 2.0

Onboard Gas Generation

• Gas is generated from an air compressor taking the air we breathe

(78% nitrogen,) filtering out the impurities, and then infusing into the

liquid product.

• It’s technically not pure nitrogen – it’s clean air – which is comprised of

78% nitrogen. Nitrogen generators or tanks provide 95-99% pure

nitrogen. This does not need to be stated up front to customers, though

could come up in discussion.

• The difference between AIR and pure NITROGEN infused into the

beverage is virtually indistinguishable. We still gain adequate

taste/texture/cascade like pure nitrogen.

Version 2.0

Onboard Gas Generation cont.

• Cascade time is 90-120 seconds* assuming a standard 16-oz cup. Cascading occurs due to nitrogen escaping as the coffee particles settle. *This is a function of cup geometry, gas levels, product temperature and formulation.

• Capacity – There is unlimited air/nitro infusion available.

– When continuously dispensing nitro-infused beverages under normal operation, the compressor will operate at a 5% duty cycle or less. In other words, while dispensing nitro product continuously, the air compressor will activate approximately 1 time every 30 seconds (~30oz dispensed) while letting out a buzz/humming sound for 1 full second.

• During cleaning/sanitizing, the gas generator will activate every ~10oz dispensed.

• In the event the gas generator is activating while product is not dispensing, there is likely a leak in the tubing which is field repairable.

• Patents filed include functionality and control of the gas generation and product delivery system.

• In Q4 2019, Bunn released an external gas generator which uses similar air compressor technology. End user cost is approx. $500 – much more cost effective than a ~$2,000 pure nitrogen generator.

Version 2.0

Nitro Gas Infusion

• Nitro air infusion is controlled by the secondary regulator

under the BIB storage space.

• Regulator will come preset from the factory at 30psi. This

will likely suffice for most 5:1 cold brew concentrates,

though should be verified to meet customer’s specs.

• Adjusting the regulator will ultimately adjust the foam

height of a beverage at the conclusion of product

cascading.

Increase nitro – Pull knob outward, turn clockwise

Decrease nitro – Pull knob outward, turn counter-clockwise

Version 2.0

Syrup Compatibility Cont.

• The unit can support other beverage platforms beyond cold brew (juice,

tea.) Mention this to customers, notify Cornelius Coffee team if account

intends to dispense product other than cold brew.

– Note: particulate such as pulp in juice products must be strained if intended

for nitro infusion.

• Like other Cornelius products….Cornelius manufactures the NPM

dispenser & supports product manufactured by all coffee product

suppliers who can accommodate to the packaging specs listed in this

presentation.

Decisions of which brand of product to dispense should be determined

by our customers with our support.

Scholle 1910L product delivery hose comes with unit.

Syrup Supplier Partners• See below for cold brew concentrate suppliers Cornelius has partnered with. This list

will increase as time progresses.

• Customers are not limited to using these suppliers, they may source from other

concentrate manufacturers provided syrup is compatible with a Scholle 1910L BIB

connector, and programmed mixing ratio range of 3:1 through 7:1.

Programmed Mixing Ratios

• Programmed dip switches (located behind splash panel) allow for automatic post-mix ratio adjustments.

– 1 = 3:1 water : product ratio

– 2 = 4:1

– 3 = 5:1 (Preset from factory, shown in image on this slide)

– 4 – 7:1

• This is a key competitive advantage which allows us to deliver dispensed product consistency with the flip of a switch vs. manually adjusting flow controls and measuring output.

• Up/Down Buttons allow for micro adjustments within each programmed ratio value. Each time a micro adjustment button is pressed, ratio will increase/decrease accordingly. This however is not a linear relationship. On average, (5) clicks of a micro adjustment in either direction will result in a full point change in ratio control.

– Example….if customer is looking to achieve 6:1 ratio…flip the 3rd dip switch upward to set the dispenser in a 5:1 ratio, then select the “up” button 5 times.

• If a ratio outside one of our programmed values is requested, contact the Cornelius Coffee team.
