training and certification - biomass systems...
TRANSCRIPT
Welcome to the isoplus training centre!
At the isoplus training centre, the further education of district heating employees is in safe hands.
Problems that occur in pre-insulated district heating pipelines can often be attributed to a lack of training on the part of the fitter or supervisor. This is why the right training is an important aspect of quality assurance in the work performed in the district heating industry. In this way, correct instal-lation is ensured and the risk of future problems is minimised.
At the isoplus training centre we arrange regular courses on the installationand quality assurance of pre-insulated piping systems as well as joint installation. See the course overview below or the detailed course pro-grammes in this brochure.

I attend isoplus joint courses every two to three years, and we get the latest updates on various joint types, weldable joints, shrink joints, etc. We learn about the various qualities, and about the importance of good cleaning practice as well as which products are suited to which situations.
The courses are very good. Information is explained in a way that everyone can understand, and the educa-tional material is easy to follow. I can only recommend the course. Although I'm now an operations assistant and work with another aspect of the business, I will continue to utilise the courses to keep up with developments in the field.

Once a year four or five of us take a design course with isoplus, where we get input regarding calculations, design, managing of materials and more. In addition to the professional benefits and excellent working tips, we learn about the latest developments on the market and where the industry is headed.
We feel that it is important to stay updated and not get stuck in old habits. The payoff we get can be concrete, such as when we learned that we could establish ex-pansion zones of sand around the piping instead of using foam pads and thus save on materials and benefit the environment. We wouldn't have come across that information so quickly if we hadn't taken the course.
Some of us take courses on joints, welding, supervi-sion and more, so we are frequent users of the isoplus course programme. What we learn is applicable, goal-oriented and rewarding – and we always come back with tons of new inspiration and energy.

Svendborg District HeatingWe took a course in connection with a large-scale development process we were about to undertake in Rødovre. The goal was to develop some fresh perspectives on which direction we were going to take – for example, in relation to single piping or twin piping and insulation category. We were very impressed with the course, which was very good and well organised. isoplus had put together a highly qualified and customised course on the basis of the information we had sent in advance. Following discussions about the type of pipes, insulation categories, purchase price, construction costs, operating expenses, etc. the course helped us identify the technically and economically optimal solution for our project. When you have two people away on a full-day course from 6 AM to 6 PM, the benefits have to match. Which they absolutely did. We both had smiles on our faces when we drove home.
