Get Ready to Train Your Brain!Intellectual wellness is not a prize to be won after a long race – it is an ongoing goal. Intellectually healthy people typically:

• open themselves up to new ideas and have the ability to quickly weigh the pros and cons of a situation

• develop good financial, health and relationship decision- making abilities

• search for lifelong learning opportunities and stimulating mental activities

There are many ways to practice intellectual wellness—find what engages you and motivates you to keep on learning! Use this tracking log every day over the next eight weeks to record the activities you complete, and the amount of time you spend on them. The Tracking Log is divided into three sections:

Schedule and Sample Activities – Each of the four categories of intellectual wellness will be addressed over two-week periods.

Critical Thinking & Problem Solving (weeks 1–2)

Concentration & Memory (weeks 5–6)

Learning & Mental Ability (weeks 3–4) Creativity (weeks 7–8)

The program coordinator will provide you with a reminder to begin a new category every two weeks, as well as some suggested activities.

Daily Activity Tracker – Note the amount of time you spend on intellectual wellness activities here. Cross off one head icon for every five minutes you spend on an activity. Afterward, tally up your minutes for each day and each week in the spaces provided. Try for 15–30 minutes of activities each day! Use the ‘Notes & Activities’ section to record your favorite activities or observations during the program.

Weekly Summary – Record your total weekly activity minutes here, along with your favorite activities. You will need to submit this summary to the Program Coordinator upon completion of the challenge.
