Frequently Asked QuestionsWhy should I switch from Barcode to RFID?

For many reasons, on top of it that with RFID

system, tags do not have to be visible in order

to read them, unlike the Barcode system which

require a visible tag on each asset. Besides,

with RFID, assets inventory can be done by

one individual and in a matter of minutes, on

the contrary, Barcode system requires a full

team and prolonged hours to accomplish the

task.

Can your system replace our applied ERP

system?

No, our system is supplementary to ERP

systems, however, you can issue accounting

reports through it, yet accounting entries

should be done through ERP systems. It’s

noteworthy that we have integrated our

system into several ERP systems, on top of it

“Quickbooks”

Who will take charge of the assets

registration and inventory process for the

first time?

In what concerns the first inventory process,

the client accounting department should be in

charge of this task. However, specialized

contractual auditors and accountants could be

employed to do the job .

As for the registration process, the software is

all set to import Excel data sheets, by result, it’s

a simple process that can be done by both,

the client himself or Tragging.

To what level fixed assets can be tracked?

Fixed assets can be tracked according to four

levels.

Building or branch >> floor or department

>> room >> asset

Floor or department >> room >> asset

Room >> asset

Or assets can be tracked without a specified

location.

Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat if my fixed assets are exposed to

extreme heat and pressure?

Yes, there are several models of RFID tags that

can endure up to 600°C and extremely high

pressure, as there are tags that endure

freezing temperatures.

Is fixed assets real time tracking possible?

Yes, but in order to benefit from this feature, a

fixed RFID reader and several antennas should

be installed.

How much time do I need to switch from

my current Barcode system to RFID system?

Generally the process doesn’t require a lot of

time, it depends on the client’s company size,

yet the minimum estimated period is one

month. And to guarantee the quality of our

system output, we’ve added AB test feature

which will allow the client to run his first

inventory using both his system and ours

simultaneously, afterwards our system will

compare the results to insure conformity.

Is it necessary to sign an annual

maintenance contract? And can I purchase

tags and equipment from another supplier?

No, it’s not mandatory to sign a contract,

support and maintenance services are free

through telephone and internet. Besides, the

client can purchase tags and equipment from

any supplier, we should note that currently we

support only Alien RFID reader.

Is this system applicable to track inventory?

No, this system is designed to track only fixed

assets, to manage and track inventory
