Strengths (S) 1. The company revamped its product mix into three distinct lines marketed in pills, capsules and liquid- compound forms that were easy to carry and consume. 2. All product items are now individually packaged with outer packaging of paper boxes or light metal containers. 3. EYS International Holdings launched its corporate website to reach a world-wide audience. Weaknesses (W) 1. Slow in modernizing its company operations and methods. Opportunities (O)

1. People have turned to vitamins and health aid medicine for the prevention of diseases and better health.

2. Its core customers are middle-aged housewives and elderly women.

3. Local universities took interest in TCM and introduced a five-year bachelor degree program in TCM.

(O1-S1) The company may improve their sales because of their new method of segregating their products into categories.

(O3-S2, S3) Since the company implemented a new marketing strategy by creating a website, it will improve the sales because its core customers are housewives who are most likely to surf the net and browse websites. (O1- W1, W2) If the company will continue doing their traditional ways of storing their products, then their opportunity to grab customers who have recently turned to medicines for prevention of illness will be lost. Also they should hire more trained employees because their opportunity to increase their sales will decrease because of their employees.

Threats (T)

1. There was a law amended to prohibit the sale of the exotic parts of endangered species.

2. Huge influx of western vitamins and health supplements lining the shelves of leading pharmaceutical chains.

3. Labelling law required the full disclosure of all ingredients that would result in disclosing of the family formula.

(T1, T3- S1) The company must improve their way of getting supplies for their products. If they dont find other alternative supplies then the company will lose profit and eventually shut down because of this law.

(T2- S2, S3) The company will get a huge improvement from this because they will have a competitive advantage against other western pharmaceuticals through their new website and improved packaging.

(T2- W1, W2) The company should improve their company operations and they should start modernizing their ways because with the huge influx of western drugs of pharmaceuticals, they may lose the competition because of their lack of efficiency and reliability on their traditional ways.
