Project Title: Towards Empowerment of Women Farmers in Vidarbha

PIA: M S Swaminathan Research Foundation, Chennai

Following is a brief account of the work done in the project during the quarter, April-June

2013, on various thematic areas:

1. Institution Building:

1) Formation of new women farmers groups:

During April-June 2013, a total of 20 women farmers groups have been formed

bringing 271 women farmers under the programme fold. The programme covers 2955

members in the districts of Wardha and Yavatmal as on June 2013.
