Tourism problems in Argolida

Greece is a country with great history and many magnificent, let alone and spectacular places. A plethora of tourists visit Greece to admire its beauty.

The esthetic of Argolida is damaged due to the great amount of rubbish.

This is the dominant situation in Argolida.

Polluted beaches and seas obstruct people from relaxing and swimming.

In addition the port is contaminated (waste, plastics, oil etc.), sometimes generating an odious smell.

The lack in hotels near the archeological places make tourists cover a long distance to do sights.

The impairs in hotels that are caused by tourist school groups make the owners pay a heavy toll .

Therefore, they are not accepted in the hotels.

The area becomes overcrowded and shortage of entertainment centers give to the tourists few options to enjoy themselves.

Many visitors who show themselves a good time in clubs, get drunk. As a result they get out of hand don’t toe the law and cause damages not only to the shop owners but to the residents as well.

At the end, some visitors vandalize the archeological areas, not showing respect to the Greek culture and history.
