pedestrian crossing assembly. Urgent

request to design IR switch that needs

to fit in existing assembly. Expected

quantities 50,000+ switches

Everswitch approach:

Design of custom IR switch with moon shape LED

illumination. Choice of STS 316L for outdoor use.

Challenges:

Limited space available within existing assembly

requiring a custom design PCB.

Extra bright LED set up for visibility in sunny

environments.

Project Goal:

Provide non-touch solution for an

intercom call button. Prevent

visitors from touching a common

surface.

Challenges:

Several intercom designs have too limited

space available. A separate aluminum call

button box with incorporated IR was

developed.

Everswitch approach:

Provide standard IR switch to replace

mechanical switch. Open collector output

and aluminum housing to meet cost

targets.
