Connaught Place• Connaught Place is a

treasure trove for shopping. This horseshoe-shaped market was built and designed by Robert Tor Russell and W H Nicholls in the year 1931. Also referred as C.P. it was named after the Duke of Connaught, a member of the British royal family . Connaught  Place is famous shopping extravaganza ranging from the traditional jewelry and handicrafts to the latest fashionable consumer goods.

Lajpat Nagar• Lajpat Nagar Market is located near the

Ashram Chowk in South Delhi. The market is a mixture of roadside stalls as well as glitzy showrooms. It was developed in 1950’s and most of its early residents were immigrants from Pakistan. wholesale and retail markets of India, Chandni Chowk is more than 300 years old. It was established in 1650, when Mughal Emperor Shahjahan shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi.Jahanara, the Emperor’s favorite daughter, is credited with designing this market, where an arcade of shops was built in a half-moon shape around a pool. It is said that moonlight reflecting on its canal, earned it its name, Chandni (Moonlit).
