From the Pastor
When we read the Christmas story in the book of Matthew 2,
we are introduced to three different characters: Herod, the priests
and scribes, and the wise men from the East. These three represent
different attitudes toward God. Herod’s attitude was one of
indignation, hatred, and hostility. The chief priests and scribes were
apathetic toward the possible birth of the Promised One. It was the
wise men who declared, “If there is a God and we can know Him,
we will search for Him with all of our hearts.” This should be our
daily attitude toward King Jesus. If Jesus is who He says He is, we must lay at His
feet and offer our lives as a living sacrifice. We must bring glory to His name by
proclaiming Him to the hostile and apathetic in our world. Wise men still seek Him,
even today!
Thank you to everyone who is standing in the gap in our absence. Encourage one
another and Josh by being in your place this Sunday! I am writing this in the DFW
airport at 8:00 am. My morning has already consisted of sharing the Gospel with a
business man from Mexico, having a great time sharing testimonies with my shuttle
driver, and a quick witness with an airline pilot in line for coffee (he bought mine…
that’s a win/win!).
Keep seeking Him like a wise man!
Bro. Tommy
Thank You from …
Edith Zimmerman
