From KimberlyAgreements … this is how we do

things at Saturday Market. As I listened to members talk

to each other this week about the agreements they have made to one another in this intentional com-munity, and the importance to their neighbors and Market as a whole of they themselves honoring these agreements, I saw a glimpse at once of both the past and the future of this Market.

We understand what it means to be in this together. We understand that each of our individual actions matter, even if at times, we have managed to convince ourselves oth-erwise. We have built up this market with care and through intentional actions and thoughtful use of our word. WE is the key.

Have a wonderful day,Kimberly

Thank You for the Goodies!Fifty Market members donated

enough Mother’s Day goodies to make seventy folks very happy last week at our giveaway. Thanks to all who generously gave, so many customers were thrilled with their prizes!!

No Load Out Parking on Oak St. until 5 PM

Do not pull up into the Oak St. load out lanes before 5 PM. The crew needs to use that lane to roll up the green fencing along Oak St. They start at about 4:50 and try to be done by 5. When you park be-fore 4:50 you cause a potential safety hazard, and impede the crew’s work schedule which ultimately costs the Market more money. Thanks for your attention to this.

Sell at Tuesday MarketAs a Market member, you are

There is no free parking on Tues-

days. Tuesday Market has a sepa-rate point system that is not related to Park Blocks or Holiday Market points. Please bring your own change.

Second, you will have 48 hours af-ter Vi contacts you to choose your space, or one will be assigned. These changes will facilitate the booking process, and make it easier for new vendors to get a space early enough to do good planning.

Meeting this week are the Leave of Absence Task Force on Tuesday at 3:30 PM and the Standards Com-mittee on Wednesday at 5 PM.

What is the Street Team and why does it keep cropping up in the Saturday Market newsletter?

We are a group of Market ven-dors that want to increase the suc-cess of Saturday Market as a market-place and community. We aim to do this by finding out how the Market is seen by the public including our customers, out-of-town visitors and those who never step foot in the market. This information will help us to create promotional projects that draw more customers for all of us and encourage new membership. We always welcome new members, ideas, suggestions, energy. Our next meeting is May 26, 12 – 1:30 at Sat-urday Market of-fices. If you want to know more you can speak to Colleen Bauman at Dana’s Cheese-cake, Heather Robbins-Hinton Booth #150 or

Kim Still, our Saturday Market Pro-motions Manager.

Reserve Booth Policy Change for 2017

The following is the recom-mendation that was adopted by the Board concerning requirements for Reserve Booth Holders at the Park Blocks. This will take effect starting in April, 2017:

To maintain the success and quality of the Market for all its members and customers, the reserve booth policy now requires reserve booth holders to be at their booth at least once a month and a minimum of 12 times per Park Blocks season.

Consider Running for the Board

It’s time to consider running for the Market’s Board of Directors. Three eighteen month positions will be open. Deadline for candidate statements is Wednesday, May 25. You must have attended one Board meeting in the 12 months before the election, this includes the upcoming June 1 meeting. The election will be held on June 11, statements will be available for members to review start-ing May 28. Submit your statement (up to 250 words) to the info booth, office, or via email. You can include a photo of yourself if you wish.
