One Team, One Dream!

What is our District Vision for 2019-20? Become a President’s Distinguished District and Make history! Can we do it? Yes, we can! The only limits are the ones we create. When we embrace our vision, we face any challenges along the journey and make our dream a reality. This can happen only with every District member’s and every Club’s participation. Let us focus on expanding our District’s potential and increasing chances to reach our dream. The company of like-minded members who share our vision is essential to attaining our goal.

I competed in different Contests and the experiences were priceless! My mentor and Club members encouraged and coached me to compete. I was so grateful for their positive support and constructive feedback. I have improved and have gained more confidence with each competition. Even though I made it to the Division level once, I always say, "I competed for the experience not for the win." I encourage you to do the same. Happy competing!

‘Tis the Season to RenewIt’s that time of year again: time for membership renewals. Here are three tips to make your Club Renewal Program a big success.

1. Know what’s in it for each individual member and speak to that benefit. Maybe Sally really enjoysthe camaraderie; whereas, Zach is trying to get a promotion and needs to polish his presentation skills. Remind allmembers why they joined and what they have achieved so far. Of course, this means knowing each member. When was the last time you had members complete a Member Survey? Now is a good time.

2. Club Officers lead by example when they pay their dues first. Then, they let the other Club members know that allClub officers have renewed. Members will see leadership in action by the example set by their officers. In my Club, wesplit the membership list between the officers and each one reaches out to his/her own group individually.

3. Some Club members are motivated by District e-Buck$. Remind Club members about the membership promotionscurrently in place:

a. Early Birdb. Celebration of Five New Membersc. Year End Open House Promotion
