Yearbook
A heaping thanks is owed to everyone who made this yearbook possible via their photographs and gener-osity. In no particular order I’d like to thank, Orli Gottlieb, Emily Melick, Ross Schlaikjer, Michael James, Tony Cannistra, Gabe Joseph, and Arlen Weiner. Without them, this yearbook would have no content! I’d also like to thank the TMC spring board, for allowing this to be possible. Enjoy!-Anna Graham, 2013 Historian
Newcomers WeekendNewcomers Weekend is TMC’s annual way to welcome Freshman to Tufts and to TMC and to introduce them to the Loj. This year’s weekend was coordinated by the power trio of Gabe Joseph, Andrew Bennett, and Mitch Saeger. The weekend included many trips, more than a few batches of Loj nachos, and the spirits of chaos.

Trips Leadership Training WeekendInaugurated this fall, Trips Leadership Training Weekend was an opportunity for TMC members to further their training and leadership skills in different trip areas. Leaders were trained for aqua, climbing, and hik-ing. For hiking, the leaders went on day trips in the Whites and practiced basic shelter and survival skills necessary for leading trips. For aqua, leaders were trained in swift water rescue. For climbing, leaders were top rope certified.
Peak Weekend 2012Peak Weekend is TMC’s annual autumnal quest to conquer the 48 peaks above 4000 feet in the White Mountains. Coordinated this year by Glen Zinck and Emily Melick, the goal of TMC members on all 48 peaks was achieved for the second year in a row.

AutumnfestNewer to TMC traditions, Autumnfest is, just as it sounds, our celebration of fall. This years was filled with food, fun, and fall leaves. Fall on campus director, Rose Eilenberg, and member Jessica Laporte planned a great event celebrating fall and raising money for a special cause.
Autumnfest was also a fundraiser for City of Hope, a cancer research organization. At the event, people shaved their heads, and some shaved their beards, to support the cause. TMC ulitmately raised $574 for City of Hope!
On and Around Campus
On campus it’s been a busy year for TMC, all handled by fall on campus director Rose Eilenberg and then spring events director Glen Zinck. From Contra dancing to a clean up at Waitts to cospon-soring with Tufts Kink, TMC communes all over campus
Pass the Torch WeekendPass the Torch Weekend, also known as Caretakers Weekend, is our annual transition from old to new in the club. Occuring the first weekend of the spring semester, Pass the Torch Weekend is when new caretakers are trained and new board takes over from old board. The weekend is also special for seniors as the prepare to transition from undergraduates to alumni.
VICE-festVICE-fest is an annual ice climbing festival in the Franconia area that TMC helps sponsor. Based out of the loj, the festival attracts people from all over New England, with a heavy TMC representation every year.

AquaThe TMC aqua program has grown in the past year, from more less nonexistent to thriving. With support from the AMC and overwhelming enthusiasm and eagerness from the club, TMC’s aqua progam is no longer a dream, but a reality.

Ice Climbing A part of TMC’s climbing program, ice climbing is starting to have an area in the club outside of just participation in VICE-fest. Definitely catalzyed by exposure at VICE-fest, ice climbing is becoming a staple TMC activity.
Winter Fun
The motto of TMC is go outside and during winter, the season of hibernation for most, this especially applies. From hiking in the Whites to the Fells, TMC-ers found ways to go outside. Addition-ally a backcountry skiing program was initiated due to a generous alum, Matt Walter.
