EXTERNAL FINISHING The building has the following characteristics:

One main entrance facing the existing hospital road for public accessTwo entrances from the existing hospital for direct access to PET area and Cylotron areaExternal marble cladding of all the external wallsParking areas for doctors and perimetral sidewalksExternal lightening system will increase the atchitectural characteristic of the buildingGreen areas will surround the building

MECHANICAL SYSTEM

The main parts of the system are:power supply and electrical room cooling;sanitary system: cold and hot water; normal sewage system; hot sewage system (potentially activated); fire

protection network (hydrants and gas fire extinguishing system);medical gases;pure and ultrapure gases;S.C.A.D.A. (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition).

High Efficiency Terminal Filter for the highest standards of air purity and aseptic conditions in medicine, biology, pharmacy and in many sensitive areas of technology. Available in housings of three different depths.

The H.V.A.C. (Humidification and Ventilation Air Conditioning) plant consists of:two A.H.U. (Air Handling Unit): one for the classified rooms in the FDG Production area and one for the non

classified rooms;EXT Chimney with final filter for the rooms with potentially activated air;4 ways fancoils ceiling mounted in a part of the rooms.

All the cooling sistems of the building are fed by two chillers air cooled type. In the technical room are located the pumps and the collectors for distribute the chilled water to the systems. All the pipework for distribute the chilled water are in stainless steel AISI 304. Valves and other components will be in cast iron (flanged components), brass or bronze (threaded components). Insulations are made of elastomer foam covered with 6/10 alluminium sheet in the technical room.

The sanitary installations are designed to achieve a standard of installation which provides the following:free flowing plumbing systems;freely ventilating plumbing systems;rodding eyes, access doors etc., which are readily accessible and which will facilitate the easy maintenance of all

parts of the systems;durable materials of first class quality;systems which maintain their integrity during their operational lifespan.

The fire protection network comprehend water hydrants and an inert gas fire extinguishing system. The gas used is nitrogen at constant discharge pressure; the bottles are stored in the technical room. This innovative solution utilises a 300 bar reservoir pressure restricted to 60 bar pressure at the valve outlet, which ensures extinguishant flow is at a constant rate throughout the discharge time. This eliminates the pressure peak at the beginning of the extinguishing process, which can reduce pipe diameters and the size of any overpressure vents.

Medical gases (oxygen and medical compressed air) are distributed in the building. The gas bottles are stored in the gas storage and the distribution to the utilities is part on the roof of the building and part inside the building. All the circuits of compressed air shall be executed in copper.Pure and ultrapure gases are distributed in the FDG production area. The gas bottles are stored in the gas storage. The gases are: helium; ultrapure helium; nitrogen; hydrogen.

S.C.A.D.A. is an up-to-date family of freely programmable management and automation stations for the full spectrum of building services applications. With system functions such as alarm management, time scheduling, and trend logging, combined with sophisticated control functions, S.C.A.D.A. is a highly versatile asset in a building. Innovative Web technology, high-performance open databases and open communications make S.C.A.D.A. wise investment in the future.

ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The electrical systems are the followings:Main and secondary Switchboards;Cable Trays and cables;Earthing System, Lighting System and SPD;Lighting System ( Normal and Emergency ); Sockets distributions; TV System; CCTV System and Access Control; Fire Alarm System; Extinguishing System;Gas detection System;Network of phone/data system;Audio System for waiting rooms;Patient care SystemIntercom System.

The electric power is placed at the disposal of the contractor in the Electrical room on the ground floor, near the technical room. This power is made available to the contractor by a cable arriving in the Electrical Room T04. The realization of the main switchboard MBT and the secondary one will be in conformity with the standard EN 60439.The equipments lighting, socket-outlets and sockets-data, are planned for an assembly of the type embedded in the walls, gutters and false ceilings, except for the equipment assembled in the technical rooms which is of the apparent type. All the cables are placed under tube in the walls and partitions and on cable shelf in the false ceilings. In order to permit communication between two different rooms there will be installed some digital wallmountstation for clean rooms completed with an intercom digital server. The intercom system ensures the communication “free hands” between two rooms.

There will be installed a call audio system from the reception to the waiting areas. The equipment for a typical room is the following:

displays modules near the door for each controlled room ( with also a button of presence of the nurse); prismatic indicators units outside the doors indicates the urgent call and the presence of the nurse;call push button with 7 contact socket outlet near the patient;simple mini-keyboard for emergency call of the nurse;

Two display modules are installed also in reception and in cafeteria: the system will do also the possibility to control and supervising all the alarms from PC.The badge has the shape of a credit card with magnetic tracks: the magnetic track contains coding. The reader of door has a read head which analyzes coding during the run of the badge. Information thus read is then transmitted of the reader to the controller of door. It is there that the identification and the access authorization take place.

A multicoloured diode LED and an internal buzzer inform about the reaction of the system. The opening of the cover of the case starts a signal of sabotage. The power of current takes place starting from the controller of door. There will be installed five indoor fixed camera ( position indicated in project drawings ):

two near entrance doors in the existing corridor; one in A16 room ; one in Power supply room C03; one in Control.

The lighting system project has been developed According UNI EN 12464 standards and requirements. The Emin/Em uniformity will not be lower than 0,5 according to UNI EN 12464. The rooms subject to intervention may be classified as ordinary spaces which refers to, as it regards safety illumination, the regulation UNI EN 1838. This regulation requires for the ways out (safety exits) of up to 2 meters wide a minimum lighting on the floor.
