STEP1: Score a 8-1/2” x 6” at 2”, 4”, 6”, and 8” on 8-1/2 side of the Galvanized Metallic Paper. Rotate 90 degress and score 1-3/4”, 4-1/2”, 5-1/8”, and 5-3/4” on 6” side. Burnish folds with bone folder.

STEP3: Center the approx. 1”x 2” oval die on one rectangular panel and cut out with Big Shot. Repeat for remaining panels. Cut up from the bottom at an angle to the first score line and remove 1/2” pieces as shown.

STEP2: Punch the lantern top using the Envelope Punch Board. Fold along the vertical score line where you will be punching, center the 5-1/8” score line, and punch. Unfold and then fold the next vertical score line, line it up, and punch. Repeat for each vertical score line. Use the photo as a reference.

STEP4: Add adhesive to three of the bottom panels, the 1/2” tab on the side, and the 1/4” edge at the top, avoiding the last 1/2” at the end for a tab. See the photo for placement.

STEP5: Adhere down the 1/4” edge at the top of the lantern. Fold the lantern paper over to adhere on the side to form the lantern shape.

STEP7: Fold up the bottom flaps to secure the bottom. Add bow and embellishments to the front of the lantern with glue dots. Add tea light.

STEP6: Add glue into the 1/2” tab on the top 1/4” folded edge and insert into the space to complete the lantern top.

STEP8: Curl the galvanized 6” strip with a bone folder and adhere with glue dots to sides of lantern at top on the INSIDE to form a handle.
