Established in August 2007 by Maria Theron, in partnership with her BEE partners, TimesTalent has been operating as a specialist recruitment and executive search company, dedicated to managing the careers of the most exceptional Engineering, Financial, and Information & Communication Technology professionals in the country.

TimesTalent adheres to strict client service-level agreements and recruitment, together with best practices to ensure placement of long-term, high competency employees.

Our stringent selection criteria, in conjunction with the procedures followed in our recruitment modus operandi, are explicit and in line with the requirements of our clients in addition to being in accordance with the stipulations of the Labour Relations Act.

Any information relating to the business of our clients is treated with the utmost confidentiality.

SPEED AND DELIVERY

Turnaround time for supplying the client with suitable candidates is 3-10 working days, depending on the complexity of the job description and the availability of the potential candidates in the market-place. This turnaround time is made possible through our e-recruitment and executive search capability.

GUARANTEE PERIOD

We uphold a 90-day guarantee period on permanent placements.

SELECTION PROCESS

DATABASE

TimesTalent subscribes to live internet databases hosting over 2 500 000 active job seekers nationwide and internationally. We maintain a sourcing network through relationships with key professionals in relevant industries.

Our in-house database boasts the personal details of approximately 6000 fully qualified candidates and 32 000 + key professionals in the Engineering, Finance at ICT industry in South Africa and internationally.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS

IDENTIFYING AND SCREENING CANDIDATES

Current International Recruitment trends:

Apart from actively searching for suitable candidates in the market-place, and scrutinising referrals by other professionals in our network, we are also active in discussions with regard to current issues and opportunities in the various special interest groups that exist on international social networks. We have found this to be an extremely effective method to source specialists world-wide, and to stay abreast of the current issues, trends and challenges faced by search firms and candidates alike.

We actively market our website (listing our vacant positions with various clients) through a focused Search Engine Optimisation Project.

Activities that form part of our Recruitment Process are:

• Client liaison and job specification development

• Sourcing from media portals and database. Executive Search.

• Advertising on our website and media portals, Major media Ad’s (if sponsored by the client)

• Searching via social media websites.

• Thorough screening of CV’s

• Interviewing the candidate (personal or by telephone in instances where the candidate does not reside within reasonable driving distance from offices)

• Prepare the CV for the client and compile short-listing for client approval.

• Supply the client with a minimum of 3 (three) high quality CV’s per position

• Arrange interviews with short-listed candidates

• Brief the candidate with regard to client culture, relevant information of country of employment, actual job specification, and Key Performance Areas.

• Prepare candidate for interview prior to the client interview and debrief the candidate after the interview

• Follow-up and Feedback

• Facilitate Offer of Employment to candidate and explain the remuneration package in detail

• Resolve all queries from candidate side and provide “resignation training”.

• Supply the client with signed offer and all other relevant documentation required in order to proceed with the mobilisation process

• Facilitate all documentation required for international placements in order to obtain visas through the client company

• Ensure that all information with regard to flights, dates of departure, e-tickets, itinerary, accommodation upon arrival, etc., are all arranged by client and confirmations passed on to the candidate well ahead of time.

• Ensure candidate commences employment as per agreement.

Checks performed on potential candidates:

• 2 x Reference checks from previous employers

• Credit check, verification of qualification and criminal checks (MIE & iFacts)

• Driver’s license checks

• Psychometric testing

• Skills assessment

THE TEAM

TimesTalent’s team comprises 8 Senior Specialist Recruitment & Search Consultants, 2 Research/Support Consultants, a Specialist Internet Sourcing Consultant, and a Financial Administration Department. All our employees undergo intensive in-house and external training in order to pave the way for duties to be performed professionally. Recruitment staff members adhere to the APSO Code of Conduct.
