Why: Mirrors are considered as having fast moving energy which is not conducive to peaceful sleep. If you have trouble relaxing in your bedroom try removing them or have them fixed to the inside doors of your wardrobes. They are still usable but hidden. According to legend, a man called Fu Hsi, who had been building up the banks of the Yellow river after devastating flooding noticed a turtle emerge from the river with a pattern on it consisting of water droplets. The tortoise’s shell was a rough square and had nine sections to it, and no matter which way Fu Hsi counted each line of water droplets, they always added up to 15. He considered this to be a great omen and consulted with many scholars of different schools of thought and after much work an incredible chart was devised, that calculated the Universal ebb and flow of life.The Chinese believed that the 5 elements or Ki energies, Earth, Fire, Wood, Water and Metal created our world and were responsible for the cycles of life and death. Their relationship to each other along could either bring balance or destruction, and this interrelationship was applied to the Magic Square or Universal Chart, along with other important symbols including colours and numbers and of course Yin and Yang - the primal opposites of all life force - such as night and day, dark and light. It is considered by those that practice Nine Ki Astrology that each person when they are born are influenced by 3 main numbers, a Year Number which reflects their fundamental energy, a Month Number which influences how one express’s ideas, attitudes and emotions and then an Axis Number which influences how others see you, and which also has an additional influence on the year number. These 3 numbers will make up a large part of an individuals make-up (along of course with other important factors such as social and family influence) and it is from these 3 numbers that one could calculate when and how to action certain changes in ones life. For example a person with a Year Three number shows great energy to start a new business or relationship. Why? Well because on the Magic Square (see illustration) the number three is in the East, is the element of Wood and thunder and has the energy for new growth. If

then they have a career that is responsible for finishing projects or collecting money then they could always feel that they are in the wrong job!. The Nine Ki chart would uncover this. We could also find a clue as to why we have certain frictions in relationships and extremely important, how to calculate the best time for moving home so that we don’t come against the powerful energies that could block us .So how do you go about getting your numbers? The calculations are based on your birthday and the type of square that is prevailing and influencing events at your birth and the cycle of 9 that will influence your life. Bearing in mind that the Chinese year doesn’t start until February, you can work out your numbers by a series of adding and subtracting key numbers. You could either get a Feng Shui Astrologer to calculate a Natal chart or find an easily available chart from books printed and available in bookshops or the internet.The charts will allow you to easily decipher your
