This park is well used by children and adults with play equipment and a large expanse of grass. Due to the demise of other community building for Children, this park is one of the last spaces left.

2The Library beomes the second entrance into the Children’s realm. The pathway is entry into the park as well as the reading rooms. The reading rooms are an inbetween space between indoor and outdoor.

The idea of the Park gates as an invitation to the park and welcoming childrens’ play in a fun way. It Is a dwelling that is both indoor and outdoor
Entrance to the Park- Welcoming and signifying the beginning of playtime
traditional ironmongery makes the most of decorative shapes for strength and interest
Ironmongery is great for hang-ing baskets and the like the shapes and strength allows a variety of objects to be hung.

Allows for transparency from the existing library building by not blocking light and views from the building and also allows transparency from interior reading rooms and the exterior garden patio.
The timber forms organic curved shapes mimicing the ironmongery style, and taking decorative ap-proach to forming solutions so that the frills become a necessary part of the design.
