Those special memories of you Will always bring a smile,

If only I could have you back for just a little while.

Then we could sit and talk again, Just like we used to do.

You always meant so very much, And always will, too.

The fact that you're no longer here Will always cause me pain.

But you're forever in my heart, Until we meet again.

The family of the late John Alan Roberts would like to thank each of you for the

many acts of kindness expressed to us during the passing of our loved one.

May God bless each of you with his mercy.

John Alan Roberts was born in Trenton, New Jersey on December 1, 1956,

the second child born to the late Mary Rosebud Roberts and Johnny James

Roberts. After losing both parents at a young age, John and his siblings

were raised by their paternal grandparents, James and Lola Roberts.

John would go on to enjoy many years of employment with Frank’s Car

Wash on Forest Drive. In 2006, John married the love of his life, Linda

Portee Jones. He served faithfully as the head deacon and church treasurer

Psalm 100, and fittingly so: He served the Lord with gladness every day of

his life.

He departed his earthly life to enter the Kingdom of Heaven on January 20,

2018.

John is survived by his wife, Linda Portee Jones Roberts; two sons,

Emmanuel (Jessica) Wells and Stanley C. (Ammy) Jones; four siblings:

Anthony James (Jacqueline) Roberts, Mary Lenora (Richmond) Taylor,

Micheal (Andreia) Roberts, Williams (Constance) Roberts; six

grandchildren; aunt, Rebecca Anderson; and a host of loving nieces,

nephews, extended family and, friends.
