“The only investment I ever made which has paid consistently increasing dividends
is the money I have given to the Lord.” (James Kraft, Kraft-Phoenix Cheese Corp Chairman)
“To give without any reward or any notice, has a special quality of its own.”
(Anne Morrow Lindbergh, American Aviatrix and Writer)
“A bone to the dog is not charity. Charity is the bone shared with the dog, when you are just as hungry as the dog.”
(Jack London, American Novelist)
Conversion is a complete surrender to Jesus. It is a willingness to do what He wants you to do.
Reflect-Do you believe you have fully surrendered yourself and all you have to the Lord? If not, what is holding you back?
Prayer-Heavenly Father, we want to follow you fully. Help us to surrender all we are and all we have without holding anything back. Amen.
For the safe-
ty and security of eve-ryone, your backpack or bag may be inspected.
Thanks for your cooper-ation!

Worship Service Tech Workers Needed
Due to moves and health issues we are losing three of our Worship Service Tech Workers in the next month. We are in serious need of new Tech Workers to run our Sound, Lighting, Media and Camera Stations for all three morning services, as well as our evening service. If you have a desire to serve our Lord Jesus in these areas, we need you greatly. Our worship services cannot happen without dedicated volunteers to serve these vital tech positions. We will train you on whichever tech station you would like to serve. Please contact Pastor Roger Ball at 602-402-5309 or email him at [email protected] or Julie Huver at [email protected].

New LIT at FBC
Nineteen-year-old Emma Frisbie is FBC’s newest Leader-in-Training (LIT). Emma is Damon and LeeAnna Frisbie’s daughter. She has two brothers, Kaleb and Liam, that go to Kid City and an older brother, Richard, who lives in the West Valley. Emma graduated from Dobson High School and Evit Cosmetology School in 2018. She works at Verde
Salon, a natural organic salon.
Emma has attended FBC for 12 years. She is no stranger to serving Jesus. She has served in Kid City in multiple capacities; she has been one of our worship team leaders during the 11:00 am service; she was in the Youth Choir and went on some of their choir/missions trips; she has been involved in FBC’s drama ministry; and she has gone on mission trips with the youth group. One highlight of Emma’s life is the senior trip she took with her Dad to Israel this past March.
As an LIT, Emma will be stretched as she develops her servant leadership skills. She has already helped to launch the new Women’s Bible Class on Sunday mornings. Not only does she have some upfront assignments but she has many behind the scenes assignments (pray for the students, create attendance sheets, etc.) Among other things, Emma will reach out to young single women at FBC and try to help them connect with each other in a meaningful way.
Reach out to Emma and encourage her big time as she endeavors to grow in her leadership skills.

God’s Faithfulness
We are God’s idea. We are His. His face. His eyes. His hands. His touch. We are Him. Look deeply into the face of every human being on earth, and you will see His likeness. Though
some appear to be distant relatives, they are not. God has no cousins, only children.
We are, incredibly, the body of Christ. And though we may not act like our Father, there is no greater truth than this: We are His. Unalterable. He loves us. Undyingly. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.
A Gentle Thunder
Walk to Bethlehem
It is time once again to lift Jesus REALLY HIGH as we set-up for Walk to Bethlehem on Monday and Tuesday, October 28-29, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at Pastor Roger and Dianna’s Home.
The Christmas birth story of Jesus as told in Luke 2:1-20 went to over 40,000 visitors last year.
We need around 50 people to keep the work manageable, less of a burden and almost done in the two days. Sure hope you can help.
Can you bring a friend to help with discipleship . . . the Great Commission?
Bring: gloves, hats, battery charged-up drills and small hand tools.
I will pray that God will mega bless you for being part of this special project.
Again, meet a bunch of Jesus followers in my backyard on Monday and Tuesday, October 28-29.
Enjoy snacks for breaks, a great lunch and plenty of cold water.
Can you help??
YES, I will be able to help set-up Walk to Bethlehem on Monday, October 28. YES, I will be able to help set-up Walk to Bethlehem on Tuesday, October 29. Name ________________________________________________________ Cell Phone ____________________________________________________

Transformation starts in the Word.

Facilitated by: Les Kinney Begins: Sunday, September 1 (13 week course), in Room 104
All adults are welcome Summary: Become better disciples with in-depth Bible study
addressing real-life issues.
Fall session: Simplicity: Finding Contentment in a Busy Life. Life is best when we trust and live simply in Christ. How to know God’s Will, a study on living life according to God’s plan. A special focus session, Living in Gratitude.
