Note:

1. This question paper contains eight questions. Attempt total five questions including question No.1 which is compulsory.

2. Each question carries equal marks. Marks are divided and indicated

against each part of the question.

3. Illustrate your answers with suitable sketches and diagrams. Use the

given map of India to show relevant features.

4. Write legibly. Each part of the question must be answered in sequence in the same continuation.

5. If questions are attempted in excess of the prescribed number only

questions attempted first up to the prescribed number shall be

valued and the remaining answers will be ignored.

1. Answer the following in about 250 words each:

(a) Which problems of unity in diversity have been experienced by

India?

(b) Demarcate the areas of the cultivation of cotton in the country

by explaining their confinement to several clearly defined areas.

2. Explain how the physical landscape of the Great Plains with the

Ganga and Brahmputra drainage systems varies from

morphologically polygenetic and complex but relatively stable
