arE YoU accoUnTaBlE?Review the following four hypothetical situations before you answer the question; Am I accountable?

A close family member or one of your church leaders places a “tracker” on your lap-top computer. A tracker will record every website, every key stroke, and time spent at each site and store it for review, all without your knowledge or suspicion. The tracker is monitored for six months before you are advised and asked in for an accountability session. How would you fare?A detective is hired who is an expert at following a “target” without being seen, and placed on your trail for six months. The detective was hired by that person you dread the most to know where you are and what you do with your time. The detective is now ready to reveal his findings with photographic proof to your spouse, church members, and other family. How would you fare?A bug is put in your cell phone for six months that transmits all of your conversations, both sides, to a listening post that records. The consolidated results will be coming before your church governance committee before you are called in.How would you fare?A new device is on your person that will monitor your thoughts for the next six months and will be recorded. The consolidated results will be exposed to your spouse, the church and your other family members.

How would you fare? The reality is - that we order our lives so that if all of the above were happening, we would be able to stand the test without any embarrassment. All of the above tests are in fact, happening right now, aren’t they? The only question is to whom they be exposed.

The answer is Biblical. If each of us and all serious Christians ordered our lives accordingly, how much greater an impact would we be having on society? Are adjustments needed? If adjustments are needed, what will bring each of us to the place where you make them?

worTHY caUSE gold ExcHangE nEEd HElpraISIng fUndS?After researching a large variety of organizations offering cash for scrap gold, we discovered that huge profits were being made at the expense of naivety. The nationally advertised CASH4GOLD mail-in program, offers about 30% of spot value to the sender. Several “road shows” offered 20-25% of spot value for scrap gold. Our question was; what would happen if we eliminated the profits and allowed Christian ministries to benefit? Out of that thinking evolved the concept of redeeming gold for the "highest possible" spot value and giving a donation receipt for the remaining value. Thus, the donor receives 100% of spot through the combined cash and donation value.Four things are accomplished. 1) people participating are getting needed cash; 2) people participating get top value for their scrap gold; 3) Christian ministries who sponsor us are benefiting and 4) AEA is raising sorely needed support.Instead of strangers taking the 70-80% profit from the Lord’s people, now a ministry is benefiting, and people are receiving more cash than they thought possible. Who can ask for more than being able to donate to your favorite ministry, and at the same time receiving cash for that donation.Shortly, we will be initiating the Mail-in Program so anyone can participate if they have one of our Mail-in Scrap Gold Kits. Can we assist you in helping to raise your funding? We have a vehicle to help, now let’s match the vehicle with your need and let the Kingdom profit. For more information contact: [email protected].

On Sunday, April 25th, 2010, Refuge of Hope Disciple Center celebrated 20 years of outreach ministry to the D.C. metropolitan area and the international community. Nearly 100 supporters including ministers of the American Evangelistic Association attended the buffet dinner and fundraiser at the Channel Inn Main Deck Reception Hall at the beautiful Southwest waterfront. Dr. Charles Farmer, Bishop and Dr. Judy Parker-Farmer, Pastor founded the Refuge of Hope Disciple Center Church and Community Outreach Center in April 1990, in an effort to make a positive difference in the community in which they lived, as well as to take the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ throughout the world. Both of them were licensed and ordained in 1989 by Dr. John E. Douglas, the founder of the American Evangelistic Association. Dr. Marjorie Douglas, widow of Dr. Douglas and an AEA member of the Board of Elders, brought greetings on behalf of the Association. Refuge of Hope operates faith-based community outreach centers, founded upon biblical principles, through educational, spiritual, social, and recreational programs to youth and adults.

As a ministerial training center, in keeping with the Great Commission, we are called as a church body to go forth to all the nations, preaching the good news, offering refuge to the oppressed, healing to the sick, clothing to the naked, food to the hungry, counseling to the depressed, and deliverance to the captives according to Mark 16:15-18. This year's theme is Isaiah 60:18

"Our Walls shall be called Salvation and our Gates Praise!" Our Song of Praise is "How Great is Our God!" by Chris Tomlin. 2010 has been the culmination of the completion of the final phase of the new Refuge of Hope Disciple Center which includes a multi-purpose room, sanctuary, conference room, food and clothing bank, BEDT Instruments of Praise Arts Center, offices, courtyard, etc. Above is a picture of the Center with the newly constructed building, #16 P. • The vast majority of doctor's office visits are due to stress and toxic emotions...Franklin Ross, M.D.• 85-90% of all physical & mental illness has an emotional

component...Center for Disease Control• Dwelling on a negative emotion like shame, guilt, fear,

rejection, or anger for 6 minutes will crash your immune system for 21 hours...Lee Berk, M.D.

• Everytime you feel unforgiveness, you are more likely to develop a health problem…Everett Worthington, Executive Director of "A Campaign For Forgiveness Research", a psychological research group.

We were created for love and relationship as outlined in the two commandments Jesus left us (Matthew 22:37-40). In our relationships with God, within and with others, God wants us to experience peace, which is the absence of

unresolved conflict.Unresolved conflicts in our relationships with God, within or with others can erode our peace, and set us up for “dis-ease.” Have you ever gotten upset with yourself or someone only to find yourself not feeling well both emotionally and physically?Conflict in relationships can break our hearts. If we do not have our identity in God’s unconditional love and don’t quickly forgive, we lose our peace. It is not long

before “dis-ease” (a lack of cellular peace) appears. We can have headaches, trouble sleeping, digestion and elimination problems, depression, and many other symptoms that lead us to seek medical care that does not eliminate the cause of “why” we are physically ill and emotionally tormented.Matthew 18:34 is clear that when we do not forgive, we are thrown over to the tormentors who steal our peace. If we forgive others like we have been forgiven, we can take back our peace. One of the believer’s inherited blessings in the Kingdom of God is peace. Resting in our Heavenly Dad’s love and care as His adored sons and daughters is the only true place of lasting peace in a world gone mad! Many people have never heard their earthly father’s say, “I love you!” It is very difficult for them to trust and believe Heavenly Dad could be any different. There are many brokenhearted people including Christians who have yet to truly forgive from their hearts because they are still looking to imperfect people, accomplishments and things to give them significance. Our love, approval, significance and identity come from the heart of a Father Who was willing to give up His only Son to die for our sins so that we could be adopted by a Father Who perfectly loves us and gives us peace. If we are still thinking and speaking about offenses, then

we have not truly forgiven from our heart. We will be tormented spirit, soul and body.I thought I had forgiven people who had abused me emotionally, verbally, physically, financially, sexually and even spiritually, but I was still keeping a record of wrongs done to me. I would go to the elders for prayer and the anointing with oil, but I only grew sicker and sicker. After many years of being too sick to minister, collecting SSDI benefits, and having a full time caregiver, the doctors said I was dying. I had seen everything from cancer to bee stings healed, so I knew it wasn’t unbelief or a lack of faith that was keeping me sick. The only other possible explanation I could come up with was that God was angry with me. I didn’t have my identity as Heavenly Dad’s adored daughter even though I was a minister and had gone to Bible College.

I began an in-depth study of medical and psychological research that supports scriptural truths as they relate to spirit, soul, and body. Many scriptures confirm the research in fear stress physiology and provided answers that led to my healing from environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivities, chronic fatigue syndrome, asthma, fibromyalgia, depression, insomnia, seizures, panic attacks, rheumatoid arthritis, irritable

bowel syndrome, allergies, post traumatic stress disorder, migraines, systemic candida, and adrenal gland failure.I no longer have these diagnoses. I have peace and joy. I take no medications! Today I know God is not angry with me, and I’m not upset with myself or anyone on the planet…I’m at peace in a world gone mad!!!I have been working with brokenhearted believers for 22 years. Jesus said it would be impossible for offenses not to come. One of the reasons He died was for our healing. Complete and lasting healing cannot come when we are in relational conflict and experience emotions long term like shame, guilt, fear, self-hatred, anger and bitterness.People receive phone ministry from all over the US and Australia to learn more about how negative thoughts and emotions make them sick. I have learned first hand the power of forgiveness and repentance (changing the way I think about God, myself and others, my past, present and future) as the only way for the body and soul to prosper. Jesus has healed phone ministry recipients of: Fibromyalgia, Alzheimer’s Disease, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Asthma, Allergies, Insomnia, Psoriasis, High Blood Pressure, Neck & Back Pain, Depression, Heart Arrhythmias & Fibrillations, Migraines, Hypoglycemia, MS, Myasthenia Gravis, Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia and others!

May 2010 Report

The English Language Academy, India, had twenty-eight new students who attended the first semester session. This was really encouraging to us to have this number of students in the beginning of the semester at an Academy like ours, located in a place where any type of Christian activities are opposed. Everyone who joined the Academy was blessed. Some of them are active in the ministry and some of them have gotten jobs. They have been blessed not only in terms of learning English, but also in terms of spiritual nourishment. We have worked hard through their difficulties and personal problems. It has not been easy to devote all the extra time for them, but we knew our mission was not only teaching, but reaching them with the eternal salvation plan of God. We praise God for his abundant grace and provision in our lives.

Beginning in 2007, our targeted goal was to reach 5000 students by 2012, with the help of twenty new Language Schools. We began with great enthusiasm and hope in the

Lord. We believe ELA is a unique approach in reaching people with the Gospel. We have seen its impact in the lives of every candidate. Although we have faced some difficulties and disappointments, we thank God for his rich mercy upon us because of what we could sustain thus far in His vineyard.

We are seeking to make English Language Academy an opportunity for evangelism among the non-believers of this country.

We want to educate the young Christian professionals who can obtain better jobs and improve their social-economic standard of living by learning to speak the English language.

We are committed to make Christian youth a force for the mission of the Lord at large.

This growing ministry needs your support to continue. Please send your support to: American Evangelistic Association - India Missions, P.O. Box 121000, W. Melbourne, Florida 32912-1000.

BE SUrE YoUr mInISTrY IS IrS complIanTattention:aEa member affiliatesIRS Requires, this year for the first time, organizations that have failed to file an annual 990-series return or notice for three consecutive years will automatically

lose their tax-exempt status beginning MAY 2010. Tax-exempt organizations, other than churches or church-related organizations, MUST FILE a FORM 990, 990-EZ, 990-N (ePostcard) or 990-PF (for private foundations) with the IRS. Statement of IrS commissioner doug Shulman on the filing deadline for Small charitiesNow that the May 17 filing deadline has passed, it appears that many small tax-exempt organizations have not filed the required information return in time. These organizations are vital to communities across the United States, and I understand their concerns about possibly losing their tax-exempt status. The IRS has conducted an unprecedented outreach effort in the tax-exempt sector on the 2006 law’s new filing requirements, but many of these smaller organizations are just now learning of the May 17 deadline. I want to reassure these small organizations that the IRS will do what it can to help them avoid losing their tax-exempt status. The IRS will be providing additional guidance in the near future on how it will help these organizations maintain their important tax-exempt status — even if they missed the May 17 deadline. The guidance will offer relief to these small organizations and provide them with the opportunity to keep their critical tax-exempt status intact. So I urge these organizations to go ahead and file — even though the May 17 deadline has passed.Filing a tax return for the small organizations is easier than you’d think. It just takes a few minutes to fill out the electronic notice Form 990-N (e-Postcard). This is available for small tax-exempt organizations with annual receipts of $25,000 or less.Related Information:For access to the e-Postcard and further details, see Annual Electronic Filing Requirement for Small Exempt Organizations, Form 990-N (e-Postcard).
