III Domingo de Pascua Jn 21, 1-19

En aquel tiempo, Jesús se les apareció otra vez a los discípulos junto al lago de Tiberíades. Se les apare-ció de esta manera: Estaban juntos Simón Pedro, Tomás (llamado el Gemelo), Natanael (el de Caná de Galilea), los hijos de Zebedeo y otros dos discípulos. Simón Pedro les dijo: "Voy a pescar". Ellos le respondieron: "También noso-tros vamos contigo". Salieron y se embarcaron, pero aquella noche no pescaron nada. Estaba amaneciendo, cuando Jesús se apareció en la orilla, pero los discípulos no lo reconocieron. Je-sús les dijo: "Muchachos, ¿han pescado algo?" Ellos contestaron: "No". Entonces él les dijo: "Echen la red a la derecha de la barca y encontrarán peces". Así lo hi-cieron, y luego ya no podían jalar la red por tantos pes-cados. Entonces el discípulo a quien amaba Jesús le dijo a Pedro: "Es el Señor". Tan pronto como Simón Pedro oyó decir que era el Señor, se anudó a la cintura la túnica, pues se la había quitado, y se tiró al agua. Los otros discípulos llegaron en la barca, arrastrando la red con los pescados, pues no distaban de tierra más de cien metros. Tan pronto como saltaron a tierra, vieron unas brasas y sobre ellas un pescado y pan. Jesús les dijo: "Traigan algunos pescados de los que acaban de pes-car". Entonces Simón Pedro subió a la barca y arrastró hasta la orilla la red, repleta de pescados grandes. Eran ciento cincuenta y tres, y a pesar de que eran tantos, no se rompió la red. Luego les dijo Jesús: "Vengan a al-morzar". Y ninguno de los discípulos se atrevía a pre-guntarle: '¿Quién eres?', porque ya sabían que era el Señor. Jesús se acercó, tomó el pan y se lo dio y tam-bién el pescado. Ésta fue la tercera vez que Jesús se apareció a sus discípulos después de resucitar de entre los muertos. Después de almorzar le preguntó Jesús a Simón Pedro: "Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me amas más que éstos?" Él le contestó: "Sí, Señor, tú sabes que te quiero". Jesús le dijo: "Apacienta mis corderos". Por segunda vez le preguntó: "Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me amas?" Él le res-pondió: "Sí, Señor, tú sabes que te quiero". Jesús le di-jo: "Pastorea mis ovejas". Por tercera vez le preguntó: "Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me quieres?" Pedro se entriste-ció de que Jesús le hubiera preguntado por tercera vez si lo quería y le contestó: "Señor, tú lo sabes todo; tú bien sabes que te quiero". Jesús le dijo: "Apacienta mis ove-jas. Yo te aseguro: cuando eras joven, tú mismo te ce-ñías la ropa e ibas a donde querías; pero cuando seas viejo, extenderás los brazos y otro te ceñirá y te llevará a donde no quieras". Esto se lo dijo para indicarle con qué género de muerte habría de glorificar a Dios. Des-pués le dijo: "Sígueme".

Proyecto de Botellas de Bebes De mayo 4 al 26

Nuestra parroquia estará par-ticipando en el Proyecto de Botellas de Bebes comenzando el 4 y 5 de ma-yo. Esto es para recaudar dinero pa-ra El Centro De Las Mujeres para poder auxiliar mujeres en embarazos en crisis y sus bebes. Dar consejería a mujeres con compasión y bondad, y también cosas materiales como ropas para damas y niños, pañales, y asis-tencia para comprar alimentos. Tam-bién, lunes a viernes la Santa Misa y

oraciones y orando en la capilla a El Centro De Las Mujeres. Esta es una oportunidad maravillosa para per-sonas de todas edades, especialmente para niños, tra-bajar contra el aborto y dar apoyo a mujeres y bebes. Por Favor, llévese una botella de bebe a su hogar, deposite sus monedas, y devuelva aquí la botella an-tes de la Santa Misa el fin de semana del 25 y 26 de mayo [Por favor, toma solamente una botella por fa-milia]. ¡Muchas gracias!

Día de las Madres Domingo, 12 de mayo

Confirmaciones 2019 Muchas felicidades a los niños que han recibido el sacramento de Confirmación este pasado Lunes, 29 de Abril. El sacramento fue administrado por el Obispo John Manz. Pedimos por la bendición de nuestro Padre reden-tor sobre estos niños y para que sigan cultivando la semi-lla de nuestra Fe Católica por donde quiera que vayan.

Ellos con-testaban: Vamos también nosotros contigo. Salieron y se embarcaron; y aquella noche no cogieron nada. Estaba ya amaneciendo, cuando Jesús se presentó en la orilla; pero los discípulos no sabían que era Jesús. Jesús les dice: Muchachos, ¿tenéis pescado? Ellos contestaron: No. Él les dice: Echad la red a la derecha de la barca y encontrareis. La echaron, y no tenían fuerzas para sacarla, por la multitud de pe-ces. Y aquel discípulo que Jesús tanto quería le dice a Pedro. Es el Señor. Al oír que era el Señor. Simón Pedro, que estaba desnudo, se ató la túnica y se echó al agua. Los demás discípulos se acercaron en la barca, porque no distaba de tierra más que unos cien metros, remolcando la red con los peces. Al saltar a tierra, ven unas brasas con un pescado pues-to encima y pan. Jesús les dice: Traed de los peces que acabáis de coger. Te lo aseguro: cuando eras joven, tú mismo te ceñías e ibas adonde querías; pero cuando seas viejo, extenderás las manos, otro te ceñirá y te llevará adonde no quieras. Esto dijo aludiendo a la muerte con que iba a dar gloria a Dios. Dicho esto, añadió: Sígueme.

i męczennik, główny patron Polski

Stanisław urodził się w Szcze-panowie prawdopodobnie około 1030 r. Podawane imiona rodzi-ców: Wielisław i Małgorzata lub Bogna nie są pewne. Święty miał pochodzić z rodu Turzy-nów, mieszkających we wsi Raba i Szczepanów koło Bochni w ziemi krakowskiej. Wioska Szczepanów miała być własnością rodziny Stanisława i tam miał być grodek do niej należący. Studia swoje pierwsze odbył Stani-sław zapewne w domu rodzinnym, potem być może w Tyńcu w klasztorze benedyktyńskim. Nie jest wykluczone, że dalsze stu-dia odbywał zwyczajem ówczesnym gdzieś za granicą. Wskazu-je się najczęściej na słynną szkołę katedralną wówczas w Leo-dium (Liege w Belgii), czy również Paryż. Święcenia kapłańskie otrzymał ok. roku 1060 Po śmierci bp. Lamberta Suła(1070) Stanisław został wybrany jego następcą na stolicy krakowskiej jako biskup. Autorytet Stanisława musiał być w Polsce ogromny, skoro we-dług podania nawet najbliżsi stronnicy króla Bolesława nie śmieli targnąć się na jego życie. Król miał to uczynić sam. 11 kwietnia 1079 roku udał się Bolesław na Skałkę i w czasie Mszy świętej zarąbał biskupa uderzeniem w głowę. Potem kazał jego ciało poćwiartować. Zwyczajem ówczesnym bowiem ciało skazańca niszczono. Duchowni ze czcią pochowali je w kościele św. Mi-chała na Skałce. Fakt ten jest dowodem czci, jakiej wtedy mę-czennik zażywał. Właśnie od procesu kanonizacyjnego Stanisława wprowadzona została praktyka "adwokata diabła", którego zadaniem było wy-ciąganie na jaw wszystkich niejasności i zarzutów przeciw kano-nizacji. Dnia 8 września 1253 roku w kościele św. Franciszka z Asyżu papież Innocenty IV dokonał kanonizacji. Św. Stanisław jest głównym patronem Polski (obok NMP Królo-wej Polski i św. Wojciecha, biskupa i męczennika).

The Baby Bottle Project May 4 to May 26

Beginning May 4th and 5th, our parish will be participating in The Baby Bottle Project benefiting The Women’s Centers of Greater Chicagoland. This non-profit organization directly assists mothers and families expe-

riencing crisis pregnancies by offering emotional, financial, material, and spiritual support through counseling, clothing & monetary provisions, prayer, and other aid. Each year the three locations together have over 5,000 appointments with expecting mothers. By God’s Grace, The Women’s Centers have saved almost 40,000 babies—and their mothers—from abortion since opening in 1984. Please take a Baby Bottle home with you from the church vestibule, and fill it with your spare change, and return it the weekend of May 25-26. This is a simple, but crucial fundraising effort for The Women’s Centers.
