As we near Christmas, we can already start giving gifts—and receiving them! Consider these:

+ Serve or prepare meals at a soup kitchen. + Bring gifts to needy children or the elderly. +Reconcile with a friend or relative with whom you’ve quarreled. Apologize if you were wrong. +Visit someone who cannot get out of his or her home. +Bake Christmas cookies with your family and donate the cookies to a soup kitchen, shelter or food pantry +Think of the people in your neighborhood who may not have many friends or family members. Make special Christmas cards or gifts to deliver to them. +Lend your assistance to your grandparents or some older people by shoveling snow, cleaning their home or offer to take them shopping. +Get the family together and clean out all the closets and dressers. Donate usable clothing, shoes, blankets and other items for needy or homeless families. +Stand up for someone being bullied or treated unfairly at work or school. +Wish the people you meet a good day and a happy and holy Christmas.

Blessings,

6pm); Tuesday, Friday (Nights 6pm - 6am) Call Joan Jahn — 402-910-0958 (Please leave a message.) We must beg for good adorers; the Blessed Sacrament needs them

to replace St. Joseph and to imitate his life of adoration. – St. Peter Julian

ROSARY LEADER NEEDED We are looking for volunteers to lead the rosary before Mass once a month. Help is needed at the 8:30 AM, 10:30AM and one more person for 5 P.M. Mass. Contact Linda with questions or to

volunteer: 402-564-7151 or [email protected].

MASS INTENTIONS The 2021 Mass book is open! Parishioners are able to schedule up to 3 Mass intentions (up to 2 weekend Masses). Non-parishioners can schedule 1 Mass. Inten-tions must be made in person at the rectory and cannot be taken over the phone. Mass offered for an intention is of great value, even if you are not able to be physically present for the Mass. Additional intentions can be given as memorials or submit-ted to be sent to the retired priests in the Archdiocese.

ADORERS NEEDED We are in desperate need of adorers so that Jesus is not left unattended. Our parish has had Perpetual Adoration since 1961. We need to continue our beautiful tradition. Covid-19 has made our adorers fearful and many are making the choice not to come to attend Jesus. The Scotus chapel is safe, clean and you are easily

able to social distance as there are very few or limited attend-ance. Please consider taking an hour to be with Jesus. If you cannot take an hour would you consider being a substitute ador-er? We promise it will change your life and bring you closer to Our Lord. If you want to visit Jesus, He is always in the church (doors are unlocked between 6:00am - 7:00pm) but only exposed perpetually in the Scotus Chapel.

NEW LITURGICAL YEAR Our new Breaking Bread missalettes are availa-ble. If your household would like to request a copy, please call the church office at 402-564-7151 or email [email protected]. You will be respon-sible for keeping your book, bringing it to Mass and taking it home again!

60 YEARS OF PERPETUAL ADORATION

Check out the new ad-dition to our Home Page at https://stboncc.com. We have added a “digital” clock timer that is continually counting forward since our Adoration inception date, February 14, 1961 as we are quickly approaching 60 years of Perpetual Adoration! “It’s a wonderful thing to contemplate as you see all those sec-onds, minutes, hours, days and years ticking by and realize how many thousands and thousands of people have been gifted with that personal and special time with Jesus. Imagine the conversa-tions and lives that have been changed!”

-Tim Cumberland (Faithful Adorer since 2016)
