Youth Ministry & Missions

Hello again! Hello again friends!!! I have finally returned from multi-week Exodus across Europe and I must say it was a splendid one! Our entire adventure across Romania was met with beautiful skies, beautiful stories, and beautiful people. It was amazing seeing churches built by Roma (aka Gypsies) in the most unlikely of places which the untrained eye would have deemed completely desolate and poor. But after spending some time with these new Christians and seeing these communities through the eyes of Christ, one can only conclude it was a land filled with riches. The vibrancy of worship, the intimacy of community, and the love shown to strangers revealed a level of excellent spiritual health and commit-ment to the Kingdom of God which could rival any other church I have visited in my entire life. Experiencing God in one room buildings with no plumbing and minimal elements in worship served as a brilliant reminder that the movement of the Almighty cannot be limited by budgets or resources or cultures. For without a doubt, the power of God is in Romania for we felt it among His people everywhere we went. I cannot wait for the opportunity to share more details with you in the near future!! Meanwhile, back in the world of teenagers, we are getting geared up for our next big Saturday Social!! This month on March 19, we shall be heading over to the Putting Edge for a relentless competi-tion of glow in the dark putt-putt golf. After working up an appetite via lifting groceries at the food pantry, we shall eat our full of pizza there at the tee before venturing off to explore all the challenging courses the facility has to offer. The only cost for children’s authority figures shall be some change for other snacks or playing arcade games. We shall arrive at the Putting Edge at 12:45pm and leave at 2:45pm to begin the journey home. If you or a loved one (or a tolerated one) would like to join us, please let me know by March 16. It’s good to be home. Looking forward to seeing what all March Madness is ahead of us!

Blessings, Travis
