About Us

ThinkSoft Research & Information Technologies is a venture of Think & Ink

Education and Research Foundation, Bangalore founded for encouraging research and

development (R&D) activity in the field of engineering, technology and science.

ThinkSoft is managed and organized by like-minded people from industry and

1 Introduction

Think & Ink Education and Research Foundation is a registered research organization

committed to the science and engineering education and research programs driven by an

advisory board and expert panel of scientists, engineers, doctors, subject matter experts

and IT professionals.

ThinkSoft Research and Information Technologies is a part of Think & Ink Education

and Research Foundation dedicated to the providing technical assistance and training

programs to pursue their research scholar programs, Academic projects, Internships and

PhD programs.

Founder

Dr. Prof. B A Patil

Founder and Director-Research

Prof. B. A. Patil internationally recognized computer

scientist and physicist in the area of lunar and space sciences,

software architectures, signal processing and pattern

recognition, inclusive design technologies and software

internationalization. He has a vast experience in the academia,

national (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore) and

international research institutions in (USA, Germany, France,

Japan) with various roles such as professor, scientist, product

manager, software architect, research director, program manager spanning a professional

career of 20 years.

He completed his B.E (Electronics) in 1987 from Gulbarga University, M. Tech

(Communication Engineering) in 1990 from Mysore University and D.S (Fraunhofer

Research Institute, Germany) in 2004. After post-graduation, he worked as a scientist at

Supercomputer Education and Research Center, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in the

area of supercomputing and parallel computer architectures contributed to PARAM

supercomputer.

Later he worked as Asst. Professor in Computer Science & Engineering, in Gulbarga

University. During this tenure, had made independent research and contributed to the

inclusive design, accessible software languages and user interfaces in Indian languages

(Kannada, Hindi etc.) that enabled vernacular applications. These significant works fetched

him a research opportunity at Fraunhofer Research Institute, Germany for eight years, during

these professional years visited and worked with best brains in the world and had an

opportunity to meet Nobel laureates, including family members of Sir Albert Einstein and

Madame Curie.

He has 20+ national and international internal research publications, contributed to

two books. He has won one national and two international awards for developing inclusive

technologies. He has two patents to his credits. He is the first person to write Kannada

complier in 1996 and user interfaces, the idea was to teach computer Kannada and won

“Karnataka Government” Award in 1996. In 2002, he won “Salzburg Fellowship” Award

from Austria for inclusive technologies. He is member of IEEE, ACM, ISTE and CSI

research organizations and European Science Forum (Germany/France), Founder Member of

Information Science (Finland).

He is highly innovative and creative scientist with social responsibility.

Currently, he is Director (R&D) of Think and Ink Education and Research Foundation, a

research organization dedicated to quality science education, innovation and research. They

have setup a state of the art science laboratory for students. He and his team is on lifelong

mission to make science popular, science attractive to young minds, bring a change in quality

of science education and enable, inspire and guide young talented minds to fetch a Nobel

Prize!

2 IBM Coding School

IBM Coding School is an undertaking of IBM Cooperation Ltd. This is a pre-

industry environment setup at the campus under “Industry Campus Connect

Program”. ThinkSoft Research and Information Technologies is India’s First IBM

Coding School for Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu under Opteamize Cloud

Solutions, Cloud service partner.

IBM Coding School provides Front End Software Application and Android

Development Courses under 3 months duration with an assured three interview call

letters*. The Overall course shall be conducted under online IBM cloud platform with

android application based monitoring and accessing. The platform is 24/7 made

available for the candidate to explore the cloud environment.

3 ThinkIT Internship Program

ThinkIT: Internship Program is first of its kind launched under the supervision of

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belagavi for fulfilling M.Tech Degree.

ThinkSoft Research and Information Technologies has successfully conducted 23 campus

drives in 2015-16 and offering 250 Internships throughout Karnataka State. We have also

been authorised by many engineering institutions as Research and Innovation Partners.

4 ThinkIT: Engineers Project Program for B.E/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc/Ph.D

Academic projects are most important corners of engineering and technological studies.

In this context, ThinkSoft Research and Information Technologies has initiated ThinkIT:

Engineers Program for B.E/M.Tech pre-final year students of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and

Kerala since 2014. This is driven from the college campus under the supervision of faculty

members for improved performance. Today ThinkSoft is a trusted brand for academic

research and projects amongst students and hence takes its step ahead towards engineering

institutions for breaking the myth of “Buying Projects”.

We, at ThinkSoft offer research oriented projects under IEEE standards of evaluation and

synopsis writing. Our services are also extended in providing offline technological classes for

Is a reputed Computer Scientist in India and Abroad., He is the first

8 ThinkIT: Annual International Conference on Computers Communications

and Applied Sciences [ICCCAS’16]

ThinkSoft Research and Information Technology has organised an annual international

conference on computers, communications and applied sciences. ICCCAS’16 is a platform

for providing inter-domain research publication for engineering graduates. ICCCAS’16 is

South India’s first Executive conference in 2016. In ICCCAS’16, 165 Research papers were
