Your 2019 Summer Camp Guide

Summer camp season is just around the corner, and GSMW cannot wait to host your girls for a summer of outside adventure that doesn’t require a fancy box, a classroom, or a dense instruction manual. In this year’s camp guide you’ll find programming aimed to enlighten your unique adventurers, artists, history buffs, and animal lovers. Every girl, no matter the program, will find herself enjoying the outdoors and the Girl Scout Sisterhood in ways she’s never experienced before.

For more than 100 years, camping has been a cornerstone of Girl Scouting. To celebrate our treasured camp history, this year’s camp season will offer two “throwback” weekends where girls and adults have a chance to participate in camp activities that have been part of traditional Girl Scouting for decades. Check out these two events at Timbercrest Camp and Camp Sac.

Our camps are open to any girl, regardless of previous Girl Scout involvement. She can come by herself, with a friend or family member, or with her whole troop! Whether it’s a girl’s first time at camp or her fifth, there’s something new for her to discover through the girl-led activities that bring the Girl Scout experience to life!

Dear Girl Scouts & Parents,

The summer of 2019 is built with boundless new possibilities, new friendships, and new activities all planned to accommodate the unique interests of every Girl Scout we serve. This summer, the camp community will be a “building zone”. That is, we’ll be “building” girls who return from camp ready to make the world a better place!

To aid in our mission to build remarkable girls, GSMW will rely on the pristine nature surrounding our camps. We are immensely fortunate to have camp properties nestled among abundant and beautiful natural resources and compassionate people. Because of our access to national forests, unspoiled lakes, and the kindest of volunteers, staff, and activity providers, our camps are able to provide our girls with a myriad of incomparable experiences that will help them develop into young women of exceptional character and drive.

I hope our GSMW Summer Camp staff has the privilege of connecting with your girl this summer. Take a look at our camps, take the time to talk about camp options, and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions about camp. I want to help you find the right adventure and the right time for your girl to take a step out of her comfort zone, to come to camp, and to learn something new while having some of the most joyous and awe-inspiring experiences of her life!

Thank you for choosing Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming summer camps for your G.I.R.L.’s 2019 adventures! Together, we will build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Enjoy scanning the pages and take your time to think about the program and location that fits the needs and desires of your camper. Regardless of where you live, you’ll find the journey to our camps full of awesome scenery and moments of adventure! CAMP STAFFGSMW recruits mature, qualified candidates who have a desire to share their enthusiasm for camping, the arts, and the outdoors. All staff are 18 years old or older, pass a background check, and have experience working with children. We hire a handful of counselors from other countries to broaden campers’ understanding and connection to new cultures. Staff attend an intensive precamp training to become CPR & First Aid as well as Archery Instructor certified. At GSMW, we are proud to say that our staff training focuses on building great people. In other words, staff learn how to focus on girls’ positive behavior traits like responsibility, respect, and perseverance. Staff also work diligently to learn new skills in risk management, emergency procedures, behavior management, and outdoor skills.

CAMP TRADITIONS

A DAY AT SUMMER CAMP

The start and end of camp is honored around the campfire where

girls and staff sing songs, act out skits, and cherish the special times

they’ve had at camp.

Throughout the week, campersseek out the spirit stick to gain

the ultimate reward ofhosting the prized possession

for closing campfire.

Each day, campers unite to build character through the responsibility

of tidying their cabins. Girls or counselors award the Dustpan

to the cabin that has shown the greatest respect and responsibility.

From Pirate Day to Wacky Wednesdays, girls will enjoy the wild antics added to these special camp days. Be sure to send your camper with a costume, wacky socks and

hats, and color options!

Bring your own SWAPS fromhome, make them at camp, or choose to make a friendship

bracelet for your new pal.

With slightly more votes than archery, girls say their favorite camp

activity is Gaga Ball. This action-packed game gets the heart rate up

while teaching strategy, fair play, and respect.

Is Your Girl Ready for camp?

not ready for solo camping?

This is the most important question to answer before registration. You know better than anyone that sending your girl to an overnight camp is a really big deal. At our camps, girls build independence, self-confidence, and leadership skills. However, campers only reap these benefits if they are emotionally prepared for overnight camps. Prepare her by getting her outside to hike, having her stay at a relative’s place, or have her try a sleepover or backyard campout at a friend’s house. When in doubt, there’s always an option of attending an early-season GO Camp, Troop Camp, or Try-It camp, and then you can decide if you want to send her to camp for a full-week later in the summer.

missing home

No worries! If your girl isn’t ready to come to camp for a week on her own, GSMW offers weekend camps where girls can attend with a troop leader, mother, or other trusted adult. Check out our GO and Troop camps or maybe your girl would be interested in our shortened “Try-It” camps. Try-It camps last about two days and two nights and occur alongside our weeklong camp programs.

For fun video tips, check

out GSUSA’s “Ultimate Summer Camp Hacks from the Pros” on

YouTube. You’ll find videos that prepare you for packing, making friends, staying

healthy, and more at: www.youtube.com/user/girlscoutvideos/playlists

While at camp, girls do not have access to the phone to call home, and parents will not be able to call their camper unless it’s an emergency. Girls can write letters and receive letters given to staff at check-in. Send your girl with addressed, stamped envelopes, stationary, and a pen so she is ready to write home.

Before your camper comes to camp, it’s important to prepare her for being on her own:• Work with your camper to help her pick a camp, plan, and pack.• Spend a practice weekend away from home like having a sleepover at a friend’s house.• Invite a friend to attend the same camp.• Before camp starts, have regular talks about what to do if she misses home while away.

Prepare your camper to use coping strategies, like these, at camp:• Play every game, and participate in every activity.• Talk with a Camp Counselor.• Write letters home.• Look forward to the new skills and adventures each day at camp.

camp care bagsGSMW is once again offering a fun new camp care bag stuffed with items to spice up cabin life and keep the camp experience alive when she returns home. Girls will receive their care bags during camp check-in. Camp care bags are available for purchase through the CampDocs registration process. Girls can use their G.I.R.L. Cards to pay for Camp Care Bags, too.

Attendees can choose to join a walking history tour, make sit-upons, tie dye t-shirts, shoot for the bullseye on the archery range, and try classic candle dipping and leather stamping. We’ll enjoy “tacos in a bag” and Dutch oven cobbler while sharing songs, skits, stories, and s’mores around the campfire. We’re certain that our GS adults will enjoy sharing their favorite memories of Girl Scouts and camp with everyone on this special weekend.

This program is open to Girl Scouts and their families. All eligible family participants (adults and school-age girls) must be registered Girl Scouts members with a cleared background check. If a specified activity is canceled, GSMW camp staff will find a comparable activity to take its place.

HIGH ADVENTURE camps

ADVENTURE QUESTCalling all courageous girls who love excitement and adventure! This camp will introduce girls to adventure-based outdoor sports and camping and survival skills. Archery, rock climbing, and river rafting all await the Risk-Taker G.I.R.L. By the end of the week, girls will have acquired the skills necessary to enjoy a campout away from their usual cabin bunks. Between all the heart-pounding activities, our adventurers will enjoy some much needed R&R in the Hammock Village. Bonus: Girls who attend Adventure Quest at Camp Castle Rock will enjoy a cave tour at Lewis & Clark Caverns! Girls ages 12 and older will need to purchase a fishing license prior to camp if they want to fish at camp.

Ultimate Outdoor Odyssey Calling all girls ready to step-up their outdoor adventure game! Campers will not only climb to tall heights and raft on rushing rivers, they’ll also enjoy a horseback ride through the wilds of Montana’s landscapes. At Timbercrest, campers will get the treat of ending their horseback trip with a chuckwagon meal. And at Castle Rock, campers will tack-on a day of cave exploration and Wilderness First Aid to their adventure list. Girls can enjoy fishing (if they have a license), archery, and they’ll practice backpacking skills by having a backcountry-style cookout and a night under the stars. Girls ages 12 and older will need to purchase a fishing license prior to camp if they want to fish at camp. Girls will need to bring shoes with a one-inch heel for horseback riding. They do not have to be riding-specific boots, they should have relatively smooth soles, and you can consider borrowing from a friend for the week.

SURVIVAL HACKSSurvival skills not only save lives, they prepare girls for tough circumstances in the wild and in day-to-day situations. In a pinch, did you know that you can start a fire with a lemon? Learn all the hacks you need to know how to live confidently and safely – whether in the woods or in the wild city. During the week, campers will need to master a few essential knots. They’ll perfect how not to get lost and how to be found. And they’ll build a survival shelter, learn expert hacks that can save lives, and practice self-defense techniques. By the end of their training, campers will get an opportunity to put their new skills to the test during a nighttime survival scenario as a team. In Montana, girls ages 12 and older will need to purchase a fishing license prior to camp if they want to fish at camp. In Wyoming, they’ll need their own fishing license if they are age 14 or older and want to fish.

CLASSIC camps

DIGGING HISTORYAt Castle Rock only, GSMW presents a whirlwind tour of everything dug-up, archeological, and geological from the depths of Butte, America. Campers will spend a day at the World Museum of Mining and take a tour of a 100-foot deep mine, jump on a trolley for a Historical Tour of “The Richest Hill on Earth”, and visit Lewis & Clark Caverns for an underground cave tour. Speaking of geology, why wouldn’t these campers get a chance to make the most spectacular pet rocks ever known? In addition to fishing and swimming, girls will explore the grand historical artifacts of Camp Castle Rock itself, which has served as a Girl Scout camp since the 1930s.

Ways of the Wild West (Try-It available at Timbercrest and Camp Sac)

Travel to an age of discovery, invention, survival, and connection with animals and the land. Girls will practice Wild West skills like fishing, cooking over a fire, candle dipping, and leather craft. They’ll take field trips to learn age-old techniques, and churn their own butter and ice cream. Archery practice will round-out an action-packed voyage to a bygone era. Timbercrest campers will get a horse-drawn wagon ride and a chuckwagon meal, while campers in Casper will take field trips to explore the historic frontiers-people at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center. And Castle Rock campers will enjoy an old-fashioned cookout and pioneer-era activities, animal interactions, and crafts at Grant-Kohrs Ranch. At Montana camps, girls ages 12 and older will need to purchase a fishing license priorto camp.

GIRLS WHO SOAR (Try-It available aT CASTLEROCK)

Girls are meant to soar! At this innovative camp, girls will delve into the science and fantasy of flight by constructing soaring mechanisms, creating stories and art about the magic and mystery of flight, and testing their determination at the helm of a mini flight simulator. Campers can count on designing intricate models of flight, meticulously crafting aerial-inspired works of art, and creating powerful mechanisms that touch the sky. They’ll also get a chance to spy and identify local bird species, investigate the tales of Amelia Earhart’s courageous flight, and launch rockets, boomerangs, kites, Frisbees, helicopters, and more - the sky’s the limit!

9

THE NATURE OF ARTCampers will get their hands on all sorts of art media while learning about the nature and ecology around camp. Water colors and oil paints await as do the birds, the flowers, and our camps’ undeniably awe-inspiring landscapes. With a camera and a sketch book, girls will hit the trail to gain insights about the environment all while letting their creativity lead the way. They’ll frame their own photographic masterpieces and mold mounds of clay into wondrous creations. At Timbercrest Camp, a special guest will teach girls how to make wildflower pendant necklaces. What a special treat!

THE GREEN SCENEThese creative campers will step onto the stage to present a theatrical performance to inspire earth-friendliness and thoughtfulness while utilizing a cache of camp recyclables and reusables. After some exercises in theatrics, girls will write and perform plays, design and create recycled costumes and sets, and paint nature-inspired backdrops to help tell their tale of caring for the planet. Some campers may even find the materials they need to make re-purposed instruments they can play at closing campfire, and other girls will enjoy choreographing new dances. Learn what it takes to not only be a stage actress and producer, but also to be an advocate for animals and the planet!

CRAFTY CRITTERSOnly available at Timbercrest Camp, Crafty Critters will enjoy amazing animal encounters and wildlife lessons thanks to our partnerships with ZooMontana and The Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary (YWS) in Red Lodge. Girls will visit the Sanctuary to get up-close with bears, birds of prey, foxes, and other wild animals who have been rescued. And special YWS educator, Gary Robson, author of the famous “Who Pooped in the Park?” book, will lead a unique presentation about animal scat, diet, and nutrition. ZooMontana will bring a handful of exotic and local animals to camp for a close-up educational visit. Throughout the week, girls will create animal art, view wildlife along the hike to Wild Bill, and provide service to the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary.

SPECIALTY camps

ACES OF ARCHERYOnce again, Girl Scouts are taking aim at a week full of archery fun and skills. Each day, campers will learn and practice new archery skills through personalized instruction and fun games. Girls will light-up the night with glow-in-the-dark archery, and they’ll travel to nearby field archery courses to try their hand at a sport akin to “archery golf”. Girls, too will receive advanced guidance from local, expert archers. New this year, girls will learn about bow and arrow maintenance as well as the history of archery from the Stone Age, the ancient Egyptians, and the Shang Dynasty of China. Girls who participated in 2017 and 2018 are encouraged to return to learn new skills and share their passion for archery.

SILVER SPURS IGSMW and Reach 4A Star are offering another great summer full of horseback riding skills and adventure. Campers will study horse anatomy and health, and they’ll learn how to manage a horse barn. Along with four hours each day at the horse corral, girls will experience the traditional side of camp with campfires, songs and games, and crafts to boot!

This introductory camp is aimed at teaching: • Building a relationship with a horse • Controlling a horse while walking and trotting • Learning introductory horse care skills • Barn Management

SILVER SPURS IIPrerequisite: Silver Spurs I, but simply attending Silver Spurs I does not necessarily prepare a girl for the rigors of Silver Spurs II. Additional out-of-camp instruction is highly recommended. This camp is available to the experienced rider. Girls must be comfortable trotting while sitting or posting independently. Girls will take their riding to the next level by learning to lope and having a solid seat in the saddle. Plus, campers will experience barrel patterns, trail rides, and learn keyhole races.

11

WEEKEND & SHORTENED programsWeekend and shortened camps give girls an introductory-level Girl Scout Camp experience. Find your adventure with a trusted companion, your troop, or attend a “Try-It” camp on your own. All participating adults must be registered GSMW volunteers with a completed background check.

AAA Troop Camp: Arts, Archery, & Astronomy

As the name suggests, this summer’s troop camp will focus on the activities girls and troop leaders love most: Arts, Archery, and Astronomy. By day, troops can choose how much time they spend on the archery range or participating in arts and crafts. By night, we’ll break-out the high-powered telescope and the star-gazing apps, and learn about constellations and the legends behind the stars.

At Troop Camp, adult leaders are expected to participate in activities as campers, but camp staff will rely on the adult participants to keep girls on time in the morning and well-behaved with lights out at bed time.

As part of each Troop Camp, adult campers can choose to fulfill the in-person portion of GSMW’s Outdoor Training which includes fire safety and cookout activities. By completing all three segments of Outdoor Training, a troop leader becomes GSMW certified to take their troop camping, cooking, and adventuring in the wild. For leaders seeking Outdoor Training, our online training videos and questionnaires must be completed before arrival at camp. Find Outdoor Training details on our web site: www.gsmw.org and click on “Outdoors/Travel”. Due to possible fire restrictions, we cannot guarantee the availability of the Outdoor Training Cookout.

Please note: • Troops must include two registered adults and meet GSUSA’s required adult-to-girl ratios.• Troop leaders can register their whole troop at once! Adults and girls pay the same the registration fees.• Adults will have separate sleeping quarters from girls (GSUSA regulations).

GSMW offers another time warp weekend with this “Girls-Only” camp. Whether with an auntie, a mother, or a family friend, girls and their adult companions will enjoy a trip down camp memory lane with all the classic activities including tie dye, leather stamping, candle dipping, campfires, s’mores, archery, and more! The best part of sharing the weekend with your favorite girls? You get to make your own schedule of fun events. At this special Camp Sac event, girls and their related adult companions can choose a real blast-from-the-past experience by staying together in a private wall tent.

Please Note:• For GO Camps, the number of registrants will determine the availability of mother-daughter cabins. Please

prepare for adults to have separate sleeping quarters from girls (GSUSA Regulations). Weekend campers at Camp Sac can request a mother-daughter rustic wall tent if they would prefer a guaranteed bunk with their related girl.

• GO camp girls must be accompanied by a female adult companion who is a registered Girl Scout volunteer with a valid background check, registered for the camp, and 18 years old or older.

GO Camp: Naturalist Specialty WeekendCalling all aspiring naturalists and nature lovers! GSMW is pairing-up with the Montana Natural History Center (MNHC) to provide a naturalist camp for girls and their favorite female adults. So, what is a naturalist? Basically, naturalists study how living things and their environments interact with each other. From animals and plants to fungi, rocks, and weather, our MNHC educators will illuminate environmental influences all around Camp Castle Rock. Throughout the day, our guests will lead campers on hikes across the campus, teaching the important work behind expert naturalist art, sciences, and observations. This GO Camp is open to girls in grades K through 8 and their accompanying female adults.

LEADERSHIP PROGRAMSGSMW’s leadership programs are designed to teach participants to role model Girl Scout Leadership. Camp Aides, CITs, and Junior Counselors will gain leadership skills by encouraging an inclusive community; leading games, songs, and activities; facilitating group conversations; and managing peer relationships. Leadership program participants will enjoy getting a behind-the-scenes look at the wonders of GSMW’s summer camps. At the end of the program, Camp Aides, CITs, and Junior Counselors will receive certificates of completion – a great supplement to resumes and college applications.

All leadership programs require an online application. The application will be posted on the www.gsmw.org/camp web page when camp registration opens. After applying, girls will receive an email with directions on how to register for their Leadership Program. Please do not register without applying! To enhance this year’s leadership camps, we will now only host a few specific weeks to choose from. This way, girls can participate in the Leadership Programs with their peers! As we all know, learning is enhanced in a collaborative setting. Please see the calendars for the exact dates of the programs.

For GSMW’s Summer Camp Leadership Programs, we are looking for Seniors and Ambassadors with these qualifications:

CAMP AIDE

This program is open to any Girl Scout entering 9th grade in the fall of 2019. Camp Aides spend their days working with girls, aiding staff, leading songs and games, and learning valuable leadership skills. Girls will plan their own activities and receive valuable guidance from counselors and directors.

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING (CIT)

CIT 1: Learn to create lesson plans, develop behavior management strategies, and improve camping skills. After an initial training period with one of the camp directors, CIT I participants will put their lessons to action. CIT I participants must be entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the fall of 2019.

CIT II: This special leadership opportunity is available to Girl Scouts who have completed the CIT I program. In CIT II, the camper will partner with one of our camp directors to delve deeper into the camp leadership experience. They will also lead songs and games and develop more detailed activities for their assigned camp unit. CIT II participants must be entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the fall of 2019.

JUNIOR COUNSELOR

Girls who LOVE camp or have their eye on camp employment can apply to become Junior Counselors at GSMW summer camp. Junior Counselors will help facilitate a week of camp. They will experience check-in and check-out procedures, plan a week of activities with co-counselors, and plan evening programs. The Junior Counselor program is open to girls entering 11th or 12th grade who have completed CIT I & II. This program is a great way to prepare to be a Camp Counselor after high school! Junior Counselors are strongly encouraged to attend more than one week of the program.

Please submit your leadership camp application before registering. CITs will receive their corresponding pin to place on their vest or sash.

NATIONAL PARKS programs

Glacier National Park Service Adventure

Glacier National Park welcomes 5th through 12th grade girls to the Park for this special camping program. Take Action this summer and earn the “National Park Service Resource Stewardship” patch along with “Glacier Park Girl Scout Ranger” patch. Campers will explore an awe-inspiring national park and perform service projects for the National Park Service. They will work alongside Glacier National Park staff performing service projects that may include removal of non-native plants, building picnic tables, or painting historic structures. To earn both patches, girls will perform a total of 15 hours of service.

During non-service hours, girls will hike, attend ranger talks, and learn camping skills. Campers get to sleep in tents, and units will take turns cooking outdoor meals. GSMW can help supply some of the camping gear, so come out and give this introductory service adventure a try!

Families are responsible for transporting their girls to Glacier National Park near West Glacier. Upon registration, girls will receive a confirmation letter with directions to the park, a free park entrance pass, and a packing and preparation list. New this year: girls will have transportation to and from their service project sites. This means less walking and more time for sight-seeing at the Park!

All campers will meet in Gardiner, Montana at noon on the first and last days of the program. Limited adult chaperone spots are available, and we would love it if folks join the fun and help drive. If you plan to register as an adult, understand that adults are expected to chaperone all girls, not just the ones who arrive at camp with them. *Registration for this camp will be through GSMW’s program registration page, not CampDoc.

Timbercrest Camp, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, stretches across forty acres running along a pristine mountain stream. A grassy meadow unfolds on the property, and the hillsides are covered in shady pine trees. Girls will spend their days exploring the property, enjoying the log cabin style program facilities, and spending their nights in their rustic sleeping cabins or the new tipis. The site is located near Beartooth Pass, the picturesque northwest entrance to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Camp activities range from the traditional to whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and archery.

Just south of “Butte, America”, among the rolling hills and aspen groves of the Little Basin Valley, lies historical Camp Castle Rock. Across from the lodge, busy beavers have helped architect a natural habitat for birds, deer, and other creatures. At the center of camp stands the beautiful log lodge built in the 1920s. Camp Castle Rock maintains the natural playground of decades past while undergoing several phases of planned improvements. This year, we are unveiling our new camper cabins that will provide cozy respite after a full day of adventure. The third week at Castle Rock is a slightly shortened week ending on Thursday evening rather than Friday morning. Campers receive a nice discount for these programs.

High atop Casper Mountain, above the city of Casper, you’ll find Camp Sacajawea. The camp sits on 180 acres of forest and vistas. The first camp at Camp Sac was held in 1936. While the old camp used only tents, we’ve since added a modern lodge and sleeping yurts. Camp Sacajawea is a special place offering activities we can’t offer at any other location. It is here where our horse camps, Silver Spurs, have inspired many a young horseback rider. And it is at Camp Sac where our newest specialty camp, Aces of Archery, has taken flight.

Why don’t adults sleep in cabins with girls?

When girls sleep in separate quarters from their parents, they are able to make new bonds with their peers and gain independence. In addition, GSUSA stipulates that unrelated adults should never be alone with unrelated girls. Therefore, GSMW requires separate sleeping quarters for adults (staff or volunteers) and girls. Depending on the number of camp registrants, GSMW summer camps can offer mother-daughter cabins or tents. If registration numbers are high, however, we must separate family groups. All adults attending camp must be registered Girl Scout volunteers with a current background check.

How can a Girl Scout pay for camp?

There are a number of ways girls can pay for summer camp:• Become a “Cookie Camp Earner” -- See “FREE Camp” below.• New this year, the G.I.R.L. Cards! They can be used to pay for Council Programs, Camps, and Camp Care Bags. In addition, you can use these cards for GSMW Shop Purchases, Girl Scout Memberships, Girl Scout Destinations and International Travel, and Council Approved Troop Trips.• Our Fall and Cookie Programs teach girls entrepreneurship skills and financial responsibility. Along with these skills, girls earn money for their troops or their individual Girl Scout pursuits. Talk with your troop to see if girls can agree to save some cookie money for camp.• After participating in the Fall and Cookie programs, a girl can apply for additional money-earning opportunities. Contact GSMW for more information.• Tried and true, girls can save their allowance or other non-Girl Scout earnings so they can pay for camp. Start saving early and your piggy banks will fill up just in time for registration.

FREE Camp!? Tell me more about “Cookie Camp Earners”

Girls who sell 1,000 or more boxes of cookies become “Cookie Camp Earners”. Not only do these top sellers get to attend any camp session of their choice for free, they also get to pick their camp themes before registration opens to other campers. Cookie Camp Earner registration opens Monday, April 15th. That means your Girl Scout can get first pick of the limited spots available in our summer camps. All cookie balances must be paid in full by May 31, 2019 to retain your free camp session.

When do camps start and end?

Given the unique nature of many of our camps, check-in and check-out times and days vary. Check-ins and check-outs occur within a window of an hour to give you drive-time flexibility. Gates to our camps will remain closed until these designated times. Weekend camp check-ins are on Fridays and check-outs are on Sundays. Week-long camp check-ins are on Sundays and check-outs are on Fridays. In general, check-ins are late in the afternoon, around 4pm for week-long camps and 2pm for weekend camps. Check-outs are in the morning around 9 or 10am. Upon registration, CampDoc will immediately email you a digital confirmation letter that includes specific check-in and check-out times and all the information you need to prepare for camp. Check your junk email folder. A hard copy of the confirmation letter will arrive in your mailbox about 10 days before camp. Campers must be checked in and out on the date and within the time period assigned to the camper’s session. Early check-ins are not available. Late arrivals are accepted only in case of emergency circumstances. Please call your respective camp location or GSMW headquarters if an emergency arises. If the
