Thesis and Dissertation Workshop

Delegates will have the opportunity to either consult individually with the course presenter or do brief voluntary presentations to solicit feedback from other delegates during the workshop.

Learning outcomes

After successfully completing this workshop, you will be able to• understand and appreciate the logic and process

of writing a thesis/dissertation• formulate a feasible research problem/question• conduct a focused review of the related literature• design your study to maximise the validity

of findings• explain your methods to clarify the validity and

reliability of your findings• present your findings in a structured manner to

address your initial research problem/question• conclude your thesis/dissertation convincingly• proofread and edit a professional looking thesis/

dissertation, and• prepare for your defence or viva voce.

Who should enrol?

This workshop is ideal for you if you are a postgraduate student in any field of study at any stage of your research. (A maximum of 15 delegates per intake are considered for enrolment to ensure individual attention.)

Workshop fees

R3 636.00 per delegate (VAT incl.)Workshop fees include all workshop material and refreshments during contact days.

Admission requirements

Prospective delegates should be looking towards completing their postgraduate (master’s or doctorate) studies at any tertiary institution.
