RESOURCES Collection of photos (page 2)Google Maps
PROCEDURES 1. Instruct students to explore Times Square using Google Maps. They can do this by searching for Times Square on Google Maps and using Street View. Instruct them to identify and describes key features of Times Square.
2. Show the photo archive of Times Square. Have students again identify and write down the key features of Times Square.
3. Have students compare the key features of the past with the key features of the present.
4. Divide the class up into small groups and have them explore Google Maps again. Are any of the key features from the past still there?
5. Have them brainstorm about what it would be like in the future. Give students time to sketch what they think it will look like.
ASSESSMENT The assessment should be divided up into groups:
