Now in its tenth year!
Now in its tenth year!
Woollahra Council is delighted to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize.
We started the Prize and a free public art exhibition of small sculptures to support new and emerging sculptors and provide a cultural opportunity for our community to enjoy a unique art medium, within the beautiful surrounds of the Council Chambers.
During the last 10 years we have seen the diversity and standard of the works included in the exhibitions expand and improve. The response from the art community, the general public and the media has been very positive.
Once again the standard of works on exhibition this year is extremely high with a total of 43 finalists selected from 552 international and domestic entries.
I hope you take the time to take part in our program of Artist Talks on Saturday 23 October and cast your vote for the Viewers’ Choice Award which will be announced at the conclusion of the exhibition on 7 November.
Our special thanks go to the 2010 judges, sponsors, supporters, dedicated committee members and volunteers.
Please encourage your friends to visit the exhibition and make the most of the opportunity to view a wonderful collection of works by very talented sculptors. All works are for sale and one may make a welcome addition to your office, home, garden or personal collection.
