Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière's debut ad campaign for Louis Vuitton, titled The House of Adventure: Series 1, signals a dramatic change in the visual expression of the brand. This stellar campaign harnesses the talents of world-renowned photographers Annie Leibovitz, Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber to weave a fascinating story of modern-day fashion via the Maison’s Autumn/Winter 2014 collection.

Based on the notion that fashion is a form of debate, Louis Vuitton selected the greatest “visual thinkers” to share their vision of this multi-faceted subject. The photographers produced three photographic stories on the same day, at the same time, but in very different venues.

In Ghesquière’s own words, “I wanted an unprecedented narrative from each of these photographers whom I admire so greatly. I also wanted to remove them from their comfort zones, from what we already know about them, to see what they would tell the world, and me, about what fashion is today.”

On another front, a new Louis Vuitton advertising campaign starring the flawless Michelle Williams was recently unveiled to mark the actress’s third season as a Louis Vuitton ambassadress. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh, the campaign shines the spotlight on two emblematic Louis Vuitton bags, the Capucines and the Lockit, in new shades. For the first time, Ms. Williams is seen wearing looks from Nicolas Ghesquière’s collections. The pure lines of the bags and ready-to-wear ensembles are captured against the pared-down backdrop of a New York studio, creating a subtle and intimate ambiance.
