Top Reasons to Attend

Testimonials

“Last year, 103 firefighters and 140 police officers committed suicide, whereas 93 firefighters and 129 officers died in the line of duty, which includes everything from being fatally shot, stabbed, drowning or dying in a car accident while on the job.”

USA Today, April 11, 2018

Officer wellness taps into one of the existential challenges facing law enforcement today. Unhealthy cops make bad decisions — in their own lives and in the line of duty — which costs the department money. Moreover, unhappy cops transfer or quit, taking years of expensive training with them. Take a proactive stance by strengthening your wellness efforts.

“The life expectancy of a police officer is 20 years less than his or her civilian counterpart. The average age of a law enforcement officer (LEO) who has suffered a heart attack is 49 years, compared to 67 years of age for the general population.”

Cops Alive, August 31, 2015

The Triple Aim of Officer Wellness has three targets: retention, cost containment, and improved officer performance. This two-day conference features interactive sessions hosted by law enforcement agencies with successful wellness programs. Hear how other agencies have successfully retained talented officers through wellness efforts, and learn how to scale these programs without breaking the bank.

“Statistics vary, but one report states as many as 25 percent of LEOs in the U.S. have issues with alcohol.”

Police One, July 27, 2016

Register today and discover how other agencies are utilizing wellness to improve their department. Special rates are available for government attendees who register early. Make sure to check out our discounts for multiple registrants from the same agency.

See you in Miami!

IEN is focused on producing practical, actionable, and content-driven events. We personally interview literally hundreds of people in each conference’s topic area, discovering their on-the-job problems, issues and concerns. We then find the very best speakers to offer solution-driven content, as well as facilitating peer-to-peer networking at each event. Our events are not trade shows or expos, although we do offer partnership opportunities to select vendors. We’re focused on the attendee’s needs entirely.

CEO Lori Medlen has been involved in producing successful events in the government and law enforcement arena for many years. As Senior Fellow at the National Institute for Government Innovation, she produced an event on terrorism pre-9/11. In addition, for many years her former company, Financial Research Associates, co-produced the National Organization of Police Organization’s (NAPO) pension and benefit event. This event is funded entirely by IEN itself.
