Stair-Climbing Wheelchair-An Innovative project work of B Tech final year students of Pankajakasthuri College of Engineering. This electric wheelchair is equipped with two sets of three extra wheels mounted on the back side of the wheel chair that can climb straight staircases, pavements or doorsteps in total safety. The Ultrasound sensor placed the back side of wheel chair detects the obstacle in front of it and the alert will shows through the display. While climbing the accelerometer placed on the bottom calculate the tilting angle and the motorised linear actuator tile the seat in order to maintain the center of gravity on a safe condition. This wheelchair facilitates the user to climb up the stairs without any external aid. The project was guided by Asst.Prof. Vijeesh V S(EEE).Asst.Prof.Anuvinda S M (EEE)
