Keystone Valley Fire Dept. Collection Last year, we pledged $10,000 over 5 years to help defer the cost of the new fire department building in Parkesburg, Due to your overwhelming generosity, we made an initial payment of $4,000 which fulfilled 40% of our pledge in just 1 year! This year we would like to make our payment by the end of June. We invite you to use the envelope you recently received in your envelope pack. There are also blank envelopes at each worship site. Simply place the envelope with your contribution in the basket during the first collection any Sunday in June or mail it to the rectory. Thank you for joining in this effort which benefits our entire community.
Beginning Saturday, June 22, Confessions will be heard from 4:00-4:30pm at Our Lady of Consolation.

My Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, I really can’t think about what “retirement” will mean in my life because my heart is overflowing with gratitude and love. I never imagined a celebration like we had last Sunday at the Revere Tavern. Your joyful participation was overwhelming and your most generous gifts were mind-boggling. I am truly humbled by the outpouring of love expressed in your kind words, encouraging thoughts, your many prayers, and your boundless generosity. For those who are interested, I never ever had a savings account. I never provided for my future. I really did trust God. Any monies I had over and above meeting my personal expenses, I gave either to the church or to people in need. So, your gifts truly do constitute my “retirement fund”. It seems that God has provided through moving so many of you to make such overwhelmingly generous gifts. Therefore, I give thanks and praise to God for you, and ask Him to bless you and your families for the blessing you are to me. Please know that it has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your pastor for these past twenty-six years. You’ve afforded me the privilege to share in your hopes and dreams, your joys and your sorrows. You’ve welcomed me into the intimacy of your families. For all this I am most grateful. To those among you that I may have hurt or disappointed or in any way made to feel unappreciated or uncared for, I deeply apologize. It was never my intention. In asking your forgiveness, I freely admit that I am a weak and sinful man, with more shortcomings than I even realize. Now that the time of my pastorate comes to an end, I only hope and pray that God has been glorified in the words I spoke to you and in the works that I performed with you. And I pray that God continue the good work He has begun in you. Finally, I ask that you give Fr. O’Neill the same love, support, encouragement, and trust that you’ve so graciously bestowed upon me. Please, please know that I love you all very much, and I always will. Your brother in Christ, Fr. Eschbach
